Happy last day and Birthday, Muxi- the big 5!
Muxi, the time has come for you to head off on your next big adventure: school! It only seems like yesterday that our car-mad boy first started with us at Busy Minds.
Muxi, you are truly incredible and one of the politest children we know. At Busy Minds, we call you Mr Manners because you are always saying “thank you” and making sure you greet all your teachers in the morning.
We have watched you grow from a quiet and reserved little boy into a confident boy who absolutely loves life. You have developed fantastic problem-solving skills and have always loved figuring out how things work. Our little engineer, you love to build, create and design, whether it is with loose parts, LEGO or our construction resources. We have loved watching your imagination and creativity come to life through your amazing creations.
And then there is your incredible gross motor ability! You love to dance, flip, run, climb and be active, always giving everything a go. We have no doubt you are a football superstar in the making; your love of football and natural sporting ability are definitely going to take you far!
Of course, we can't forget your love of cars, trucks and all things with wheels! 🚗🏎️ You have such a wonderful imagination, and who knows where your future will take you; perhaps one day you'll be a football star and a Monster Truck racing driver! 🏆
We are so proud of the amazing person you have become. We will miss your smile, your snuggles, your kindness, your wonderful manners, your creative mind, your amazing physical skills and, of course, all your car and truck knowledge and your incredible drawings.
We wish you the very best for your next adventure at school. Keep being your amazing self, keep dreaming big, and never stop building, creating, moving and exploring!
Good luck, Muxi! We are going to miss you; don't forget to come back to visit. Love from all your friends and teachers x

Before the rain came, we made the most of being outside! We especially loved continuing to build our big car ramps to see whose car could fly down the fastest. The wibbly-wobbly plank swing was back in action, and the boys had lots of fun in the boat ,this time they were dinosaurs sailing away into the sunset!
We also enjoyed painting and climbing on the obstacle course. There was lots of creativity, imagination, physical challenge and fun happening while we played outside. Inside, it was all about cars and getting creative at the art table.
Let’s hope the rain stays away for the next few days so we can keep being creative and making the most of our outdoor environment!

Once again, our tamariki have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through play. Our young engineers have been designing and building car ramps, while others have enjoyed loose parts play, using their imagination to create and problem-solve. There have been many exciting adventures sailing away on the boat while catching plenty of fish, as well as lots of fun on the nest swing outdoors.
Inside, LEGO continues to be a huge interest, with some truly amazing creations being built each day. It has been wonderful to see the creativity and perseverance our children demonstrate as they design, build, and proudly share their masterpieces.
One of the things we love most is watching our younger children observe the incredible creations of our older tamariki before heading off to build their own. This is one of the many strengths of being a mixed-age centre. Children naturally learn from one another through peer teaching, positive role modelling, collaboration, and offering support and encouragement. These authentic interactions help foster confidence, problem-solving skills, communication, and a strong sense of belonging within our Busy Minds whānau.

What a fun week we had last week! We were so busy enjoying our Dress-Up Day and Commonwealth Games that we completely forgot to take lots of photos ,which is always a sign that everyone was having an amazing time!
Dress-Up Day was filled with all sorts of wonderful costumes, and everyone gave their best effort during our Commonwealth Games events. From running and jumping to balancing and throwing, the children showed fantastic determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. To celebrate all their hard work, every child received a medal at the end of the day.
We definitely have some future Commonwealth stars in the making!

Big Bubble Fun! 🫧
Today, Nat made an incredible bubble mixture that created the biggest bubbles! The children had an amazing time chasing, catching, and watching the giant bubbles float through the air.
Just a reminder:
🎭 Dress-Up Day is tomorrow – we can't wait to see everyone's fantastic costumes!
🏅 Commonwealth Games Day is on Friday- come in your sports gear :)

Doing what we do best at Busy Minds – providing the perfect balance of child-led play and intentional learning experiences.
Today was full of fun and problem-solving! The children loved testing out our homemade seesaw, working together to balance while their friends tried to tip them off which, according to the children, was definitely the best part! 😄 They also designed their own car and ball ramps, using trial and error to figure out how to connect the pieces and create a smooth run for their balls and cars.
There was plenty of creativity too, with outdoor painting, making crazy eye pictures, building towers, and enjoying imaginative play in the mud kitchen.
A day full of exploring, creating, thinking, and having fun!
