Our hearts are sad to hear the passing of the beautiful Jan Taouma. Jan pioneered and inspired many of our faiaoga, mamas and women to lead with passion and elevate pacific early childhood services to serve their communities upholding their identity language and culture. Thank you Jan for leading and inspiring, serving the cause faithfully. Rest in His loving arms and the Lord comfort your aiga at this time. Ia Manuia Lau Malaga, Mama Malelega and team ❤️🙏🏽🌺

🇹🇴 Happy Tongan language week
This year’s theme for Uike Kātoanga’i ‘o e lea faka-Tonga - Tonga Language Week - is Ke Tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tönga′ 'i Aotearoa, which means Sustaining the Tonga Language in Aotearoa.
Ke Tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tonga 'i Aotearoa has a positive and progressive connotation. To support the overarching Language Weeks theme of Sustainability, the word TU'ULOA in the theme this year means to continuously grow, nurture, and sustain a valued idea, practice, event, or memory in an enduring way.

Celebrating our amazing early childhood teachers/kaiako/faiaoga who are predominately women for the tireless mahi they do in teaching our very young tamariki. Part of that responsibility is to break down biases every day so children learn diversity and inclusivity and celebrate differences. We celebrate teachers today for their thoughtfulness and their actions in their classrooms and workplaces. Thank you for making our childrens world a place of safety and belonging.
