Their incredible Jammies for June appeal provides winter pajamas to local kids to keep them healthy and cozy through the coldest months.

This week, we would like to acknowledge and thank the Kindness Collective Foundation for the wonderful support they provide to our school community.

Our tamariki are able to have access to everyday essentials like food, warm clothing, and toys, helping them stay comfortable, happy, and ready to thrive each day. And it’s for FREE! ✨

💤 Since today is National PJ Day, it’s the perfect time to celebrate how small acts of comfort—like a warm pair of jammies or a helping hand—can make a massive difference for local families.

🧸 How you can help spread the kindness today: You can donate new toys, warm winter clothing, or volunteer your time to support their incredible mission.

We know that with the current cost of living, making ends meet can be a struggle and you might find yourself short on kai.

To help out, LIFE Community Kitchens offers free kai to our community every Wednesday in the Māngere Town Centre.

Head over to the Recreation Hall at the Moana Nui a Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre (66R Mascot Avenue). No judgement, just good food and amazing community care ❤️

This week, we would like to acknowledge and thank KidsCan for the wonderful support they provide to our school community.

Our tamariki are able to have access to warm jackets, new shoes, and food for our Breakfast Club, helping them stay warm, nourished, and ready to learn each day. And it’s for FREE!

❄️ If your child is in need of a jacket or shoes, please come into the school office with them and speak with our team.

🍞 Breakfast Club is available from 8:00am each morning in the Discovery Centre.

📣 Notice: Crazy Hat Day Postponed 🎩

Due to a very busy week of events and our wonderful celebrations for Samoan Language Week, we have decided to postpone Crazy Hat Day this Friday.

We want to ensure everyone can fully enjoy and participate without feeling rushed! We will be rescheduling this fun event for a later date in Term 3, so hold onto those creative hats. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

A reminder that school is closed today for King’s Birthday. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend with whānau and friends.

Kia ora Māngere East School Whānau! 🌟

We have a massive week ahead for Term 2, Week 6! Between class trips, sports tournaments, and our Year 5 & 6 groups heading off to camp, our tamariki are going to be incredibly busy.
