Happy Birthday to dance4everyone! 20 years of accessible creative movement for all. Thank you to all of our staff over the years who have contributed to the development of our students, and our wonderful clients who have supported this valuable work.

Our Orakei students and families were treated to a piece of birthday cake at our end-of-year dance class in the park this week. The perfect way to celebrate a wonderful year of dance, and 20 years of service.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday wishes to all of our dance4everyone whanau. Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2026!

What an amazing day we had yesterday at the BLENNZ school show at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau!! Our staff Mille & Alex jumped in when Allie asked if they could help backstage and brought energy and calm to the excitement and nerves.

Students with vision loss and most with additional or complex needs were given the opportunity to access a stage, share their lives and learning, and receive thunderous applause from proud parents. A moment of connection, expression, and belonging! There were smiles of joy and a fair few tears of happiness.

Sommerville Special School is one of our clients and their students and staff need our support to get the safe and modern facilities they need for effective learning and development. You may have seen it in the news - the Panmure site is in need of a major refurbishment and they have been waiting years for it!! Congratulations to Julie King for being recognised for her amazing contribution to special ed in the New Years Honours! Such a remarkable lady, and this recognition is well deserved!! We all love you Julie King!!

Julie King has spent 40 years in special needs education in England and New Zealand.

What a wonderful family Christmas concert to end another year of fabulous, fun dancing with friends! Our Orakei students presented their term four work, and were particular impressed with our audience who joined us for our last number.

After an extended term break we are back into classes this week at Orakei! Dancing into summer and heading towards the festive season - yay!! Looking forward to seeing you all again on Thursday!

Happy International Tap Dance Day! We celebrated Bill “Bojangles” Robinson’s birthday in class today and discussed the important contributions he made in dance history. 🌺
