Selwyn Community Education is looking for an enthusiastic sewing tutor to teach small groups of adult learners.

Classes run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with the occasional weekend workshop. You’ll be working with a mix of beginners through to beyond beginners, helping students build confidence and practical skills in a supportive, creative environment.
We’re looking for someone who:

🧵Has strong sewing skills (garment construction, patterns, alterations, or similar)
🧵Enjoys teaching and working with adults
🧵Can explain techniques clearly and patiently
🧵Brings a positive, encouraging approach to learning

In return, you’ll be teaching motivated, engaged learners in well-equipped classrooms, with support from our friendly team.
