We have had an amazing week celebrating Diwali at preschool! We have been celebrating by creating rangoli in a variety of ways (salt painting, collage and chalk), painting diya, baking cookies with our whฤnau, (paint) henna, decorating our beautiful centre full of colour, exploring pukapuka/books and music! We have also been loving sharing with our whฤnau about how they celebrate Diwali at home! ๐Ÿ’œ

This morning at 9.30am, we participated in Shake Out! Shake Out is New Zealand's annual national earthquake drill, where we drop, cover and hold to keep ourselves safe in an earthquake! Earlier this week, we reminded ourselves how to be Turtle Safe, rewatching the video, having our very own practice, and even making our own turtles! ๐Ÿ’œ
