At crèche, our current focus is on fostering literacy and communication. Here are a few ways Kaiako have set up the environment to support children’s growing interest in books, storytelling, drawing, baking, and early literacy skills.

Save the date! Saturday 23rd May...The Creche Quiz Night is back!

Come along by yourself, with partner or make up a table of 8-10 friends/family and neighbours. There is a quiz throughout the night and lots of items and gift packs to make bids on. BYO drinks and nibbles. Free tea/coffee and cake.

Tickets only $20 or $150 for a table (8-10 people). Please ask staff at crèche to purchase. All proceeds go to crèche for children’s equipment and to upgrade the outdoor area.

In commemoration of ANZAC day tamariki collaborated making poppies with their artistic creations. Including purple poppies to honor animals who served and sacrificed during wartime.

We would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to Upper Harbour Local Board for their 'Facilities Grant' that enabled us to upgrade our bathroom facility at Creche. It was so nice to welcome the Tamariki, parents, and teachers back this year with a fresh, usable functional space.

We would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to the The Lion Foundation for their grant that has made it possible for us to upgrade our ICT equipment - which was very needed. Thank you!

Happy Chinese New Year! Lunar New Year is a time to celebrate, learn more about common beliefs, customs and what it means to be born in the Year of the Horse.

Here at creche we have been making crafts at the art table, paper lanterns, reading stories, practicing Chinese characters, and making dumplings to celebrate.

Thank you for attending and contributing to the farewell celebration for Lissa and myself . It made my last day at crèche so very special. It was wonderful to see many past and present families and teaching staff. Special thanks to Anne and Lissa for establishing the creche in 1998 and their ongoing support over the years. It has been a joy and privilege to be part of Meadowood Community Creche over the past 28 years and I have learnt so much from the many children, teachers and families that have contributed to creating a warm, caring, educative and inclusive environment. I know the future of the creche is in good hands giving the keys to Ashlee.
