This week, we celebrated Cultural Week, recognising and embracing the rich diversity that makes our school community so special. Throughout the week, students and staff came together to share and celebrate the many cultures represented across the college, reflecting our commitment to inclusion, respect, and belonging.
Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including canvas art, Ki-o-Rahi games, a bake sale, shared lunch and a cultural performance held earlier today. These events provided wonderful opportunities for students to showcase their cultures, learn from one another, and strengthen connections across our school community.
A special thank you to all students, staff, and whānau who participated and contributed to making Cultural Week such a memorable celebration.

On Tuesday at lunchtime, two exciting Ki o Rahi matches took place as teams competed for a place in the final.
The first game saw Kaipatiki take on Mayfield. The opening half was closely contested, with both houses putting in strong performances, but Mayfield held a narrow advantage at the break. Kaipatiki fought hard in the second half to close the gap, but Mayfield maintained their momentum and secured a 27–11 victory.
The second match between Oruamo and Tauhinu was an intense and hard-fought contest. Tauhinu started strongly and took an early lead, but Oruamo responded well to edge ahead before halftime. In the second half, Oruamo worked tirelessly to defend their lead against Tauhinu’s determined efforts, eventually claiming a narrow 11–8 win.
Congratulations to all players for their sportsmanship and effort. We now look forward to the Ki o Rahi final, where Mayfield will face Oruamo.

On Monday, we hosted our Filipino Parent Evening, bringing together families, students, and staff to strengthen connections and celebrate our vibrant Filipino community.
The evening provided a valuable opportunity for parents and whānau to connect with staff, learn more about the programmes and opportunities available, and discuss ways we can continue to support the success and wellbeing of our students. It was also a wonderful chance to build relationships, share experiences, and acknowledge the significant contribution our Filipino families make to the life of our school.

Yesterday afternoon, our Year 12 and 13 Business Studies students held their Market Day at Glenfield Mall.
After weeks of planning, designing, and developing their products, our Year 12 students finally had the opportunity to bring their business ideas to life. A special mention goes to our Year 13 students, who successfully completed another Market Day and demonstrated the confidence, resilience, and skills they have developed throughout their business studies journey.
Congratulations to all of our students on a successful event. Thank you to Glenfield Mall for hosting us, and to everyone who stopped by to support our talented young entrepreneurs. We are proud of the initiative, creativity, and professionalism our students displayed, and grateful for the encouragement and support shown by the Glenfield community.
