Our excellent academic record stands for itself, but Dio stands for so much more. It’s not enough to ‘know’ any more. That’s the Dio Difference.

We believe that education is an adventure involving creativity, imagination and discovery. It’s our job to foster and develop the skills every young woman will need to navigate this changing world.

What does Dio’s home away from home really look like? Take a sneak peek into daily life at Innes House! 🏡

Located just across the road from campus, our four villa-style homes create a close-knit, supportive environment for around 50 boarders from Years 9 to 13.

Life at Innes House is designed to help every student thrive, with no commute time for early morning training, homework support during evening prep, and plenty of weekend activities to help boarders connect.

Our dedicated boarding staff work hard to create a welcoming environment where every student feels valued and supported.

On Monday morning, our Senior School students and special guests gathered together for the Breakfast of Champions 🥐✨

Hosted by the Diocesan Parents & Friends, this event provides an opportunity for students to connect and spend time with the people who support, encourage and champion them every day.

Guests enjoyed an early morning breakfast while listening to an inspiring presentation from renowned New Zealand designer Kathryn Wilson, who shared the story behind building her successful footwear brand. Kathryn spoke candidly about taking risks, backing yourself and embracing opportunities, offering valuable insights and inspiration for the girls as they consider their own future pathways.

The morning was filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences and plenty of connection. It was wonderful to welcome so many parents, family members and special supporters onto campus, creating an opportunity to spend quality time with their students.

A heartfelt thank you to the Diocesan Parents and Friends for hosting such a wonderful event, and to everyone who joined us to make the morning so memorable 💙.

Last week, our Year 6 girls embarked on their PYP Exhibition Service Week, exploring the themes of Fair Futures, Food Poverty, Wellbeing and Sustainability, and learning how organisations across Auckland work to address local and global challenges. These experiences will help ignite and inspire their upcoming PYP Exhibition journeys.

From spending quality time with residents at Elizabeth Knox Home, gaining a deeper understanding of food poverty through the Asylum Seekers Support Trust, supporting Give a Kid a Blanket, and visiting Stand Tū Māia, the girls brought our school motto, Ut Serviamus, to life by embodying the Head, Hands and Heart model of service.

Our annual Birthday Concert continues to be a cherished school tradition, celebrating Dio and the spirit of our school community.

This year, our Year 13s presented a take on The Hunger Games, transforming school subjects into fierce competitors battling for supremacy in a memorable parody. Filled with energy and impressive performances, the concert showcased the teamwork and dedication that make this tradition so special! 🎤🎶

This year’s school ball, Eclipse: A Night Under the Stars was a fabulous evening! Our Year 12 and 13 students, along with their dates, lit up the evening in stunning dresses, sharp suits and plenty of sparkle, with the dance floor packed all night long.

Chosen by the Ball Council, the ball theme reflected the Year 13 theme for 2026 – he waka eke noa – celebrating the idea that we all shine brighter when we shine together.

Ball ticket sales also supported , raising money to support youth mental health.

It was wonderful to welcome our community to the Meet the Executive Principal evenings with Dr Sandra Hastie.

These special evenings provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Dr Hastie as she shared her vision for the future of Dio and her commitment to building on the strong traditions and values that define our Dio community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving Dr Hastie such a warm Dio welcome.

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we present Night of Dance – Threads of Light, a celebration of the power of dance to illuminate connection, creativity, and shared experience.

This year’s theme explores the idea of light as the invisible thread that links us together, the energy we share with one another, the support we feel from those around us, and the moments of inspiration that spark through movement.
