Seishin Ryu Martial Arts NZ We are a friendly family based club, helping our community. We have been operating for 60+yrs and one of NZ longest running Karate clubs.

We foster good health, both physical and mental. Martial Arts is a discipline. Seishin Ryu Karate NZ is a founding member of the NZ Martial Arts Institute (est. 2010) and a signatory to the Quality Standards (2014) of NZMAI. It is a signatory to the Seishin Ryu Karate Code of Conduct (2014) that guides the ethics and behaviour of all Seishin Ryu Karate NZ instructors from dan grade and above. It i

s also accountable to its parent, Seishin Kan Renmei, located in Japan under Kancho Yosh*toshi SATO and the Kokusai or Council of Masters, Okinawa. Every registered student in NZ is also audited and affirmed by Seishin Kan Renmei by way of registration in Japan and Okinawa


All of our students have the benefit of training in two styles of Karate within the same DOJO. Seishin Ryu is a system that uses Karate techniques in a practical format that can be applied in a real life defense situation. Seihin Kan is a traditional style that helps build and maintain strength in body and technique.

Monday and Wednesday nights: 5.30pm Children's classes.
(5yrs to 12yrs)
Monday's 6.30pm. Kobudo classes.
( Weapons: Bo, Jo, Kali Sticks and more)
Tuesday and Thursday's 6pm Karate both Modern and traditional.
Wednesday 6.30pm Free Kick boxing classes.
Friday 6.30pm Jujitsu (restarting soon)
Saturday 9am Mixed class.

Happy heavenly Mothers day mum and to all of our beautiful mums who have passed on to be with our Heavenly father and dear love ones.

Well done to all of our students whom graded over the weekend. Congratulations to you all. Well done Myesha on achieving your 1st Dan Black Belt after 9years of hard training. Well deserved. Thank you Sensei Manu for coming to Auckland with your wonderful, respectful team. Welcome Sempai Sandee Clark. And thank you Renshi Ian and Sarah for representing the Taipa dojo. Seishin Ryu Martial Arts celebrating friendship, working to make our community a safer place for the future of our kids and grandchildren. As you can probably tell we're a fun bunch and enjoy our training. Last year we had a great time in Japan and planning another visit for 2026. Come have some fun, it's so easy you just need to turn up.
