"1 in 7 Kiwi students leave school without a qualification โ here's how we close that gap"
New Zealand data released this month shows over 10,000 students left school in 2025 without an NCEA qualification โ one in seven leavers, and nearly double that rate at lower-decile schools. Many missed out after passing just one of the two literacy/numeracy co-requisite tests, not both. At EduSphereNZ, this is exactly the gap we work to close โ building strong literacy and numeracy foundations early so those co-requisite exams feel manageable, not make-or-break. If your child could use some extra confidence this term, we'd love to chat.
Based on: NZ Ministry of Education school-leaver data showing 10,473 students (15%) left school in 2025 with no qualification โ More than 10,000 school leavers finished 2025 with no qualification (Newswire)
