ports our practice, in caring and educating your child. Hauora is a Māori philosophy of health unique to New Zealand. It comprises of taha tinana, taha hinengaro, taha whanau, and taha wairua the four walls that support your child as a learner. Our Educators attend at least one play group per week where your child will have the opportunity to meet other children of various ages and other educators. Educators actively promote children’s social interactions on other days too, by providing many activities that require group participation, such as library visits. Educators also attend professional development courses and reflect on their teaching every month through monthly reports written by visiting teachers.They all hold a first aid certificate. Our visiting teachers, visit your educators monthly to support your child’s learning and your educators learning, through monthly reports. During their visits, they complete a thorough safety check of the Educators home and property and ensure that your child is safe. Childcare at Home also provide resources to extend your child’s learning further. At Childcare at Home we all use positive child guidance where everyone reacts in similar ways, always giving children consistent guidelines about what is acceptable and what is not.
