Big things are happening on campus! π«β½οΈ
Howick College has officially launched its first-ever Football Academy, integrating professional-level training directly into the school timetable.
Designed for selected Year 9 and 10 student-athletes, this programme bridges the gap between junior talent and elite senior representation, creating a clear pathway straight to our prestigious 1st XI team.
With 37 students already balancing rigorous daytime training with their school schedule, we are truly building the 1st XI of the future, today. Shoutout to coaches Kyle Park, Moh Reynolds, and Simon Moti for leading the way!

From strength to strength.
Amazing Liv!!!
β Referee Spotlight β Liv Munro β
Meet Liv Munro. Liv has been refereeing for five years, all while still being a high school student, which says a lot about her commitment for the game. Youβll almost always find Liv around the grounds, whether on high school rugby or club matches!
Liv took charge of the 1RB final in 2025 and continues to step up when opportunities come her way. While she loves being involved in 15s, Liv is also a familiar face on the sevens scene, refereeing tournaments all over the country, including Global Youths, Condors and our local competitions.
Check out a little about Liv and make sure you say hello next time you see her out there π

Doha Kim, has never played goalie in any sport until this tournament, but went on and made over 25 saves per game. Dash McCann the top scorer with 3 goals and 2 assists, Nathan Hahn scored 3 goals, Hugo Rice, helped Doha on blocking shots, Cohen Hollins, their captain who did a lot of puck moving and Campbell Wright, who performed admirably despite transitioning from ice hockey to inline hockey.

Well done, Danielle!
Danielle has been selected to be part of the light blues team, which is an Auckland Rowing representative team. This is a high-performing program mainly for year 12 athletes, with some high-performing year 11s who were also selected.
They kick off with monthly camps with the first one coming up in 2 weeks (Sunday). The early stages focus on testing and seat racing, where the crews are mixed to see which combinations perform best on the water.
As they move into September, things will step up. The squad begins narrowing down to select a team to head to Australia and compete internationally. Right now, it's all about building the squad, pushing performance and earning your seat.
All the best, Danielle!
