A big welcome to Ōwairaka District School — we’re stoked to have you on board!

This awesome school community is already leading the way with walking school buses running three days a week! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
And even better… they’re looking to extend these!

More walking =
✔️ Healthier tamariki
✔️ Safer streets
✔️ Stronger community connections

We love seeing schools build on what’s already working and take it to the next level.
Let’s go Ōwairaka — we can’t wait to see your impact! 💥

Our local football club, Ponsonby Mount Albert Football Club is looking for girls to join their teams!

They are currently forming:
• An 8 year olds team
• A team for girls aged 9–10

If your daughter has ever wanted to give football a go, or is keen to join a team in a welcoming, family-friendly environment, this is a great opportunity.

The club itself is a real gem, with the club rooms, bar and deck overlooking the field that serves a great range of drinks and takeaway food. The Friday evening training come with a gorgeous sunset as a backdrop, making it a wonderful way to wrap up the week together.

The fees are only $30 per term or $100 a year.

For more information or to register your daughter's interest, please reach out to Ponsonby Mount Albert Football Club directly or just turn up Friday just after 5pm and give it a go!

Hope to see some new faces on the field!

Kia ora koutou

We're half way through our first term using our new communication app, Hero.

Please respond to the survey in the app to let us know that you're successfully logged in and receiving messages from school.

We will check all responses at the end of this week, and the class with the best response rate will win a prize. Two lucky caregivers will also receive a $100 supermarket voucher to say thank you.

If you have any questions or feedback to pass on about the new app, please email [email protected]

If you're a current parent/caregiver and you haven't yet signed in to Hero, please see instructions below, or pop in to the office and we can help.
