CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS 🙌
International Teaching Artist Conference 2024 (ITAC7)
5-7 September 2024
Building 201, UoA City Campus
Are you currently a student at the University of Auckland?
Are you interested in teaching artistry or arts education and wanting to meet world leaders in these fields?
We are looking for UoA student volunteers that will be available throughout 3 days to help us make this international conference a success. All volunteers will receive free session attendance and be provided with tea, coffee, and lunch. There may also be opportunities for you to go on one of the excursions to Toi Ora Live Arts Trust or Auckland Art Gallery.

Congratulations to our 3MT prizewinners for 2024! The winner this evening was Inka Pleiss (Faculty of Science, University of Auckland), the runner-up was Isurie Akarawita (Faculty of Engineering, The University of Auckland) and the people's choice award went to Logan Ritchie (Auckland Bioengineering Institute). Well done to all 13 of our finalists - the standard of the presentations was extremely high and it was a really enjoyable event watched by an enthusiastic audience of more than 300 people.

The UoA Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Finals take place on Friday 2 August at OGGB. This is a really fun and inspiring event run by the School of Graduate Studies – the highlight of the doctoral calendar! You’re invited to come along and show your support for the 14 talented finalists - from ABI, Arts, Business, CAI, EDSW, Engineering, FMHS, Liggins, and Science - who will be taking up the challenge of sharing their PhD research with a general audience in under three minutes. Enter our competition to stand a chance of winning one of our great prizes! All you have to do is like our page and then post your answer to the following question before 5pm on Wed 26 June: "What tool or resource has been the most useful in your doctoral research?"
First prize is a UoA branded hoodie, while second and third prizes are UoA branded caps. The competition is open to current doctoral candidates at UoA.

More doctoral candidates have qualified for the University of Auckland Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Finals by winning their 3MT Faculty Heats this week. Congratulations to Bex Ansell (Arts), Jie Bao (CAI), Komal Srinivasa (FMHS) and Qun Ma (EDSW)! They will be joining Arne Bruns (ABI), Logan Ritchie (ABI) and Inka Pleiss (Science) in the Finals on Friday 2 August.
