Hi, my name is Caroline. I am the founder and director of Salisbury Valley Homeschool.
I love children and believe every kid is born as a little genius. My work is to support them and make their time with me enjoyable, stimulating and fun. I want to help each kid achieve his or her full potential and have created a home environment that enhances and enriches kids brain development, encourages exploration, and builds up strengths and creativity. I have designed effective and balanced daily program for supporting children's physical and intellectual growth. I am a believer in nature education and love to bring children outdoors for adventure and exploration. I have three chickens, a worm composting system, a vegetable garden, an indoor aquarium, and a few lovely fruit trees for children to observe and work on.
A mum myself, I have a seven year old son who is loving, caring and sociable. He enjoys having other children at our home. We form positive and supportive relationship with kids and their families.
I graduated with a Master degree in Media and Communications from England and speak English, Chinese, Spanish and Turkish. I used to live in the UK, USA, Turkey, China before settled down in beautiful NZ. I worked as teaching assistant, charity fundraiser, journalist, public relations consultant, and a published writer before becoming an educator. I believe my rich life experience and various skills can bring valuable resources to our school and our children.
