Me pioke he awheo mo Te Kohanga Reo
Te taonga tuku iho nā te Atua
Te taonga e kore e ngaro
I ngā tau whakahuihui
I ngā tau takaoriori
Nei rā te mihi nui ki tō mātou Kaimahi a Whaea Missy i whakatutuki i Te Ara Tuatahi mo Te Reo Māori i te wiki kua pahure ake nei.
Ko koe tera e te Whaea e whakatinana i Te Reo me ōna Tikanga ki a mātou mokopuna, mo rātou te take.
Big mihi to Whaea Missy who achieved Te Ara Tuatahi mo Te Reo Māori last week.
Whaea Missy has always done everything with a passion, we are so grateful to be able to have her work alongside our mokopuna for they are our reason.

Hari rā Māmā ki ngā Māmā o Te Kohanga Reo o Te Maungarongo !!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all our Māmā at Te Kohanga Reo o Te Maungarongo!!!!
I whakaritea e ngā kaimahi o Te Maungarongo he parakuihi mō ngā Māmā i te ata nei, kia taea e ngā mokopuna te whakanuia i tō rātou Māmā :)
In celebration of Mother's Day our awesome kaimahi put on a Mother's Day Breakfast for all our Mum's so that our mokopuna could start their day with their mum and celebrate them.
We love you our Māmā's

Awhi mai awhi atu
Knowing its tough for our mātua to get out and do the shopping during Level 4, one of our kaimahi did a big shop on behalf of our Executive Committee to help whanau over this time. We chucked a few resources in there for our mokopuna too & they were most excited to see a familiar face doing the contactless drop off to their whare (the hardest thing is keeping the mokopuna from running in for hugs 😔)

"Ki te kotahi te kakaho ka whati, ki te kapuia e kore e whati"
Throwback to a few weeks ago, when our kaimahi managed to slip in an awesome whakawhanaunga before lockdown sent us back to online only connections
Kaimahi of the Kohanga Reo spent the day in a Ra Kaimahi Whakaahu - Team Building - facilitated by Scottie Williams (Perspective Solutions) themed in a Matariki inspired Amazing Race around Tāmaki Makaurau.
From the Trust Stadium to Mission Bay, Arataki to the Basketball courts wrapping off the day with Romiromi Treatment and sitting at Goodhome for a beautiful late lunch, prize giving and a custom made Matariki cocktail just for us.
The team got the awesome opportunity to be paired into four groups and bond the whole day with Social Cues to learn more about each other and appreciate each other in the mahi we do for our tamariki.
A huge mihi to our whānau and Heamana who supported us through this exercise, our kairomiromi - Whaea Jac’s, our team and our facilitator - Scottie for organising the event.
Here are some of our memories from our day.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Ngā Kaimahi o Te Kohanga Reo o Te Maungarongo.
