At Te Hapori, we have been extremely busy this term, exploring a wide variety of activities from arts to sports. Within the arts, we learned different visual art techniques and enjoyed practicing circus arts. In sports, we've been doing swimming, netball, and basketball. Finally, an important part of our programme is learning to navigate our community. Students practised using public transport and planning trips to Botany Town Centre and Ormiston Town Centre.

It has been an incredibly rewarding term for the learners in Riverina School satellite 2! The class has shown fantastic energy and focus as they tumbled and balanced their way through weekly gymnastics, tackled new problem-solving challenges in maths, and they have thoroughly enjoyed their interactive "munch bunch" sessions alongside our wonderful therapists. We are so proud of the confidence and new skills they have built across all these activities this term, and it has been a joy watching them grow and learn together.

During National Oral Health Month in August, some of our Benghazi 3 learners explored healthy and unhealthy foods and drinks for our teeth.
As a class, we created a Sugar Wall to show the amount of sugar in different foods and drinks and to learn about healthier choices. The learning was focused on engaging, connecting and communicating at each learner’s level.
We registered our display with the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and were very happy to find out that our class won $500 towards our school library.
We are very proud of our learners and their achievement.

Tripoli 5 has been learning about plants and had a lovely time exploring how they grow. Students made mung bean sprouts, cared for plants by watering them and learned about the plant life cycle. They also enjoyed visiting the Wintergardens.

We received great feedback about this fundraiser last year with many of you enjoying seeing your child's artwork transformed into neat products.

Thank you to everyone who supported us last year. Your purchases helped our school while also celebrating the creativity and individuality of our amazing ākonga.

Here is a first look at some of the colourful and creative pieces produced by our learners this year! 🌟

Personalised flyers featuring each learner’s artwork, along with ordering instructions, will be sent home soon.

📅 The first round of orders closes on Friday 25 September.

This term Anchorage Park School satellite 2 has been exploring Tripoli - their new playground, extending our money skills at Mini Woolies, as well as learning social and communication skills through our shopping experience, and of course enjoying some movement in the Magic Movement Zone.
Back in the classroom you will find our children learning about living things and their environments. Exploring with writing through fact finding and nature treasure hunts add a fun way to our learning. Swimming has been a real focus and is enjoyed by all. We are so thrilled with our tamariki and their achievements they have made throughout this term.
