Our kaiako encourage curiosity, wonder, and a love of learning that extends well beyond the classroom.

We believe children learn best when they are inspired to explore the world around them. Through meaningful experiences, such as walks in our local community, tamariki are encouraged to observe, question, discover, and make connections with their environment. Our youngest learners venture out to collect natural resources, which become tools for investigation, creativity, and learning back in the centre. 🐝 🍃 🍁

🌈✨ Busy hands, busy minds, and BIG imaginations at work! ✨🌈

Today our tamariki transformed our block area into an incredible colourful creation, carefully placing and sorting the tiny bears while constructing a large-scale wall and pathway. 🧱🐻

Through this play experience, children explored:
🔹 Problem solving and critical thinking
🔹 Spatial awareness and engineering concepts
🔹 Colour recognition and sorting
🔹 Fine motor development and hand-eye coordination
🔹 Patience, concentration, and perseverance
🔹 Collaborative play and leadership skills

At Busy Bees, our curriculum values learning through meaningful play experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity, and confidence. Experiences like this support children to become capable and competent learners while strengthening their sense of exploration and discovery. 💛🐝
