Tēnā koutou katoa,
Week 8 brings an exciting opportunity for our tamariki as we welcome Marcus Winter-Sandman to our kura. Every student will have the chance to explore sand art and try out the new sand boards, discovering how creativity can be expressed through a unique and engaging medium. This experience encourages imagination, storytelling and artistic confidence in a way that many students may not have encountered before.
We feel especially privileged to host Marcus, who attended school in this local area. His journey is a wonderful reminder to our students that passion, perseverance and creativity can lead to exciting opportunities. We look forward to seeing the amazing creations that emerge from this experience and hearing the stories behind them.
A reminder also to keep supporting our Colour Fun Run fundraising efforts. Every contribution helps create additional opportunities for our ākonga, and we appreciate the enthusiasm already being shown by our school community. Let's keep the momentum going as we work together towards our fundraising goals.
Thank you, whānau, for your continued support and encouragement. Together, we help create rich learning experiences that inspire our students to learn, create and thrive.

Talofa lava,
Welcome to Week 7. This week we proudly celebrate Samoan Language Week, an opportunity to recognise and honour the language, culture and contributions of our Samoan community. We encourage our tamariki to embrace the learning opportunities throughout the week and to celebrate the diversity that enriches our school.
A reminder that Monday is King's Birthday, so school will be closed for the public holiday. With a shorter week ahead, it is important that we make the most of our learning time and continue to approach each day with focus and purpose.
As we move through the week, we will continue to promote our school values of manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, whanaungatanga and kaitiakitanga. These values help guide how we learn, lead, care for one another and contribute positively to our school community.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we work together to help our tamariki succeed.

Kia Orana,
Thank you to our students, staff and whānau for making STEAM Week such a success. It was wonderful to see our tamariki so engaged in hands-on learning, creative thinking and problem-solving throughout the week. We encourage families to continue conversations at home about the inquiry learning taking place in classrooms, as sharing ideas and asking questions helps strengthen understanding and curiosity.
As we approach the halfway point of the term, this is also a valuable opportunity for students to reflect on the goals they set earlier in the term and think about the steps they can take to continue progressing towards them. Small, consistent efforts make a big difference over time.
The coming week will focus on settled classroom learning, providing students with opportunities to consolidate skills, deepen their understanding and continue building confidence in their learning.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

Week 4 is an important week of celebration, appreciation and awareness across our school community.
This week we proudly celebrate Rotuman Language Week. The theme for 2026 is:
“Ȧf'ȧk, putua, a'pumuạ'ȧk ma rak'ȧk 'os fäega ma 'os ag fak Rotuma, la se maoen 'e 'os tore” — Treasure, nurture and teach our Rotuman language and culture so it may live on through generations.
We encourage our tamariki to embrace the opportunity to learn more about Rotuman language, culture and traditions, while celebrating the richness and diversity within our school community.
This week is also Support Staff Week, where we acknowledge and thank our amazing learning assistants and support staff. Their care, dedication, encouragement and behind-the-scenes work make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students every single day.
On Friday, we will come together for Pink Shirt Day, standing united against bullying and promoting kindness, inclusion, and respect for all. Students are encouraged to wear pink to show their support and help spread the message that everyone deserves to feel safe and valued.

Namaste,
Welcome to Week 2. As the colder weather begins to settle in, this is a great time to focus on keeping healthy; warm clothing, nourishing food, good rest and regular movement all help our tamariki stay well and ready for learning.
We also hope our school community took time to reflect on the significance of ANZAC Day, remembering those who have served and the values of courage and service that continue to guide us.
This week, the second half of the school will be heading off to SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium. We know this will be another engaging and memorable experience, and we look forward to hearing all about their learning.
