🧠 Ever wonder how Feldenkrais® Practitioners are trained?
It’s not a weekend workshop or a quick certification.
Feldenkrais training is a deep dive into movement, learning, and the nervous system—spanning 160 days over at least 3 years.
Certified through the Feldenkrais Guild® of North America, practitioners commit to ongoing education and ethical practice—ensuring a standard of care rooted in experience and embodied understanding.

“Acting effectively in the world depends on clearly perceiving oneself.” Moshé Feldenkrais in the Elusive obvious (1981)
Feldenkrais understood that self-perception is not an abstract matter, but a concrete capacity that is trained through movement. He argued that many of our limitations come from blurred or rigid self-images: implicit beliefs about who we are and how we move.
Through somatic exploration—as in ATM (Awareness Through Movement) lessons—we fine-tune our internal senses (proprioception, interoception, kinesthesia) and gain options. Only by experiencing ourselves with greater detail and nuance can we act more adaptively and creatively in the face of environmental challenges.
