Building respect for the sanctity of life, faith and family in the context of Catholic morality by educating on all life issues from natural conception to natural death, and by maintaining a presence in the media by providing public comment on issues relating to life, faith and family. Action:
Serving pregnant women in crisis, and those affected by abortion. Family Life International is

The Embracing Human Dignity youth event is for young people aged 13-18. There will be a break out session where Sr Giovanna Maria will speak to the girls about femininity and Fr Shenan Boquet will talk to the boys about masculinity - topics that desperately need to be addressed today with youth. There will be time for prayer and confession as well as lots of fun, food (plenty of food you can be sure of that), and fellowship with youth from around the Auckland diocese (and maybe further afield). Please spread the word and make sure our young people are given the opportunity to hear important truths about their dignity (and that of their peers) as a child of God.

Super excited to have Sister Giovanna-Maria joining us as a speaker!

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers!

We are giving thanks today for the unique and irreplaceable role of fathers in the life of the family.

“The place and task of the father in and for the family is of unique and irreplaceable importance.”
St John Paul II, Familiaris Consortio

Praying today that God blesses all fathers and strengthens them in their vocation to love, protect and lead their families.

Come and hear first-hand Isabel's courageous and faithful story at the Hope for the World conference at the end of this month. Isabel will be speaking at the Conference Dinner and on Sunday afternoon. Register here: www.fli.org.nz/prolifeconference2026

From the article:
"She [Isabel] was searched and arrested by police officers in December 2022 after saying that she “might be” praying inside her head. The area surrounding the abortion facility where it occurred had been covered by a local Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), which had come into force the month before. The order prohibits prayer, distributing information about pregnancy help services and other activities considered to constitute “protest.” She received a not-guilty verdict on all four counts.

Having gone on for almost four years, she said the ordeal has taken up an “enormous” amount of her time and energy, as well as being a significant intrusion into her life. “I have been arrested and searched on the street, acquitted in court, rearrested, released on bail, and had charges dropped, only to be repeatedly questioned by the police again, week after week.”

“Even after I won a settlement of £13,000 from the police for my unlawful arrests, the intimidation and harassment didn’t stop. The latest criminal charge against me was issued on December 12 2025. But it will be 2027 before I go to trial because, it appears, an entire week in court is required for my case. The process itself seems to have become part of the punishment – all for simply living out my Catholic faith,” she said. ...

"Wherever the public are allowed to go, Christians, Catholics and pro-lifers, as members of the public, should also be allowed to go. And wherever we are permitted to be, our thoughts inevitably go with us. Those thoughts should not be subject to censorship.”"

Today we celebrate the feast of St Teresa of Calcutta who was a fearless witness to the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.

She served the poorest and most vulnerable with extraordinary love, while never being afraid to speak the truth about abortion, even before the most powerful people in the world.

St Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

St Teresa of Calcutta was a woman of love and service and was a great pro-life hero defending pre-born children in the womb.

True compassion does not abandon someone in their suffering, and it does not end their life.

It stays. It listens. It comforts. It relieves pain where it can. It surrounds the person with love and reminds them, especially in their most vulnerable moments, that their life has meaning and value.

We are called to care for one another until death comes naturally. We cannot eliminate suffering by eliminating the person who suffers.

Promote and defend the family as God intended it, because it is in the family that we learn to love, to sacrifice and to care for one another. Strengthen the family, and we build a more peaceful and loving society. A society that recognises the dignity of every human life, from the smallest pre-born child to the frail elderly.

"Finally, this love is fecund. It is not confined wholly to the loving interchange of husband and wife; it also contrives to go beyond this to bring new life into being. "Marriage and conjugal love are by their nature ordained toward the procreation and education of children. Children are really the supreme gift of marriage and contribute in the highest degree to their parents' welfare.""
