At Go Bananas Childcare Rata Street, our Matariki celebration was filled with warmth and connection. Parents joined us with enthusiasm, sharing in the joy of our tamariki’s performances and strengthening their relationships with kaiako. It was wonderful to see whānau so engaged, not only enjoying the event but also learning about the significance of Matariki and the values it brings to our community.

Today our tamariki proudly wore pink shirts to show their support for kindness, inclusion, and standing together against bullying.
It was beautiful to see our children celebrating friendship, empathy, and the message that kindness always wins.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”

ANZAC Day learning was our focus this week at Go Bananas Rata Street. Our tamariki made poppy flowers, sunshine art, and even helped with ANZAC cookies. They also enjoyed plenty of outdoor play, aiming balls into the basket and building great hand–eye coordination.

Celebrating Eid at Go Bananas Childcare – Rata Street ✨
Today we came together with our wonderful whānau to celebrate Eid. It was a beautiful day filled with culture, connection, and shared joy.

Our tamariki enjoyed exploring traditions, tasting delicious kai, and learning about the meaning of Eid through stories and activities. Moments like these strengthen our sense of belonging and help our children appreciate the richness of our diverse community.

It’s been a great week at Go Bananas Childcare, Rata Street! Our children enjoyed a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and holistic development. So much learning happens through play, and we loved seeing their smiles all week.
