At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
ANZAC Day learning was our focus this week at Go Bananas Rata Street. Our tamariki made poppy flowers, sunshine art, and even helped with ANZAC cookies. They also enjoyed plenty of outdoor play, aiming balls into the basket and building great hand–eye coordination.

This week we celebrated Kindness and Friendship Week. Tamariki created handprint cards, drawings, and kind messages for their friends and whānau. We also celebrated Avisha’s 4th birthday with her whānau. Children explored magnetic properties by making heart shapes with pipe cleaners and watching them “fly” using magnets. It was a lovely week filled with kindness, creativity, and learning.

Our little tamariki had a wonderful time exploring a range of rich learning experiences this week. They created their own jungle worlds, built houses using connecting blocks, and proudly signed our Classroom Treaty as part of our Waitangi Day celebrations.
We also marked a very special milestone — Aaryan Thakar’s graduation. It was a heartfelt moment for all kaiako, filled with pride and warm wishes for his bright future ahead.
A beautiful week of creativity, learning, and celebration for our centre.
