Yesterday our Open Weight and Under 60kg Boys teams represented Otahuhu with pride at the SWZ tournament. Both teams displayed outstanding integrity, determination, and grit, competing hard right through to the final whistle in every game.

The Open Weight team was involved in several closely contested matches that could have gone either way. Their perseverance paid off in their final game, where they defeated Bader Intermediate 29–5 to secure victory in the 7th/8th place playoff.

Our Under 60kg boys also performed strongly throughout the day, winning two games and narrowly losing three. Their efforts earned them an impressive 4th-place finish overall.

Well done to all the players for their commitment, sportsmanship, and the way they represented our school.

Today we had 92% attendance schoolwide. It’s still a bit of a struggle to get everyone who can and should be at school to school. A massive shout out to Room 1, Room 6 and Room 10 for having 💯 attendance today!

Well done to Room 1 who have had three days in a row with perfect attendance…setting the standard for others to follow!

Please make sure you’re at school tomorrow. Hot chips
Friday and Syndicate points are up for grabs.

What a day Fatu o le Alofa Rm 10 had yesterday. They were invited by Kiddos Child Care Centre here in Ōtāhuhu to perform for them for Samoan Language Week. We took them some goodies and they gifted us with flower seis, a beautiful drink and cake. We were so privileged and proud. Thank you Kiddos for welcoming us and for hosting us so well. Ma le fa’a’alo’alo lava. Fa’afetai!

Today we celebrated our school garden named 'Get Growing' first anniversary. We remember this time last year when we had so many of our tamariki and whānau be a part of the working bee which got our garden up and going. One year on we would like to say thanks to all the hands that help out or just enjoy the produce and this space. As part of the celebration we enjoyed a big carrot 🎂 too.
