Day 24 📍 Launceston, TAS 🐭💙

I’ve made it to Tasmania! And I have to say… the weather has actually been quite lovely! I packed for Launceston like I was heading to the North Pole, so this little mouse may have slightly overprepared. 😂🧣

Today I met Jimmy, David and all the Launie kids, who were VERY excited to meet me. I think I’m starting to become a bit of a celebrity on this tour! 🐭✨

I also got to help Matilda with some of her working out. She had just moved up to the next level and it was her very first lesson working on it — but you wouldn’t have known! She was doing such a great job. 🙌

That’s something I’ve learnt on my travels too. Moving onto something harder can feel a little scary at first, but you don’t have to know how to do everything straight away. You just have to be willing to have a go, work it out and keep learning. 💙
Matilda certainly showed me how it’s done today!

Day 23 📍 Richmond, VIC 🐭💙

Well, look who I found again… Anika! 😂 At this point, I’m not sure whether I’m touring Kip centres or following Anika around Victoria!
Today I visited Richmond and got to experience something I haven’t done before on my travels — learning alongside siblings! 💙

It was so much fun seeing them working on their own learning while still encouraging each other along the way. There may have been a little sibling competition too… which apparently is excellent motivation! 😂

The more centres I visit, the more I realise that every student learns differently. Whether you come to Kip with a brother or sister, learn alongside new friends, join online or come into a centre, your lesson is still about your learning and your goals. 🎯📚

I’m getting pretty good at this whole Kip student thing now. Although if I had a sibling here, I’m fairly certain we’d be competing over who earned the most cheese… 🧀🐭

Day 22 📍 Balwyn, VIC 🐭💙

I think I’m officially a Kip expert now!

Today I arrived at Balwyn a little early to meet Anika, so instead of waiting around, I got myself set up and ready for my lesson. Computer on, learning ready… I know the drill now! 😂📚

After 22 stops, I’m starting to realise that every lesson adds another little piece to what I know. Things that felt tricky when I first started my tour are getting easier, and I’m much more confident having a go — even when I’m not sure I’ll get the answer right!

But I saw something VERY cool today. 🤯

Anika was teaching students in the centre AND online at the same time! Some students were sitting right there with us and others were joining from their homes, but everyone was learning.

I’ve travelled a LOT of kilometres to get to my Kip lessons… and now you’re telling me I could have just logged in?! 😂💻🐭

Although, I suppose I wouldn’t have met all these wonderful people along the way!

Day 20 📍 Fairfield, NSW 🐭💙

Day 20 already… I’m becoming quite the well-travelled little mouse! 🚗

Today I arrived at Fairfield, where I met the lovely Miah and immediately felt right at home.

I also made a new friend, Minh, who let me sit in and help with some of his learning. I’m not saying I’m ready to become a Kip tutor just yet… but I think I was pretty helpful! 🐭📚😂

What really stood out to me today was the lovely feeling around the centre. The families were so warm and welcoming, the students were happy to be there, and there was such a positive buzz as everyone got stuck into their learning.

There’s something pretty special about walking into a place where families feel comfortable, students feel supported and everyone seems to know each other. 💙

Day 18 📍 Belconnen, ACT 🐭💙

I’ve made it to the ACT! 🚗💨

As soon as I walked through the front door at Belconnen, I spotted the HUGE Kip flag and knew I was in the right place. You really can’t miss it! 😂💙

Today I met Darshika, who might just know everything there is to know about this place. She told me she’s here every day the centre is open — now that’s someone who loves Kip!

Darshika put me straight to work helping her write up the names of all the clever students who correctly answered last week’s riddle:

“What is the name of Mickey Mouse’s dog?” 🐶🤔

Apparently, plenty of Belconnen kids knew the answer! I would have guessed “Monty”… but I’m starting to realise I may need a few Kip lessons myself. 😂

I love seeing all the little things centres do to make learning fun and give students something to look forward to each week. Riddles, challenges, celebrations — there’s always something happening!
