We made the newspaper!

Such a privilage to be part of a big community project. Our tamariki loved the experience and it sparked so much curiosity and conversation afterwards.

Kia ora hapori

We've had a very busy start to our year with 5 of our tamariki graduating and starting their journey at Primary school.
They were all very excited and confident to start their new adventure. We've had some great feedback from their whanau around how well they are settling in and making new friends.

Kia Ora whanau,

It's so lovely to welcome our tamariki back after the holidays. We have enjoyed seeing their happy smiles as they settle back into the centre, playing together both indoors and outdoor areas and confidently exploring the environment.

These moments show a strong sense of belonging and curiosity as they reconnect with friends, teachers and familiar spaces.

We also warmly welcome our whanau back. Thank you for your continued support and partnership with us .We look forward to another year of shared learning, exploration and joyful experiences together. 😊

Nga mihi nui,

Team Kidz and Crayonz

Tunnel boring machine naming and painting October 2025

What an experience we had! Watercare are upgrading the wastewater development in our area and invited our school to schose a name for their special tunnel boring machine and to walk down the road in small groups to their construction site to paint all our tamariki's handprints on the machine.

They also had the opportunity to see large cranes and other construction equipment up close, sparking conversations about how things work.

Diwali October 2025

We learned a lot about the Festival of Lights from our Kaiako. Our tamariki expressed their creative side drawing colourful rangoli, making Diyas from clay and dancing to traditional Fijian beats.
They got a chance to experience putting on a Saree and getting henna designs painted on their hands.
We finished off the week with tamariki making Peda to enjoy together.

Tongan Language week August 2025

Thank you to one of our very talented tamaiti who performed her Tongan cultural dance for us. We learned about the Tongan alphabet and numbers while enjoying crafts as well, making the week complete with some panikeke and otai prepared by our lovely kaiako.
