We’re excited to share that our tamariki from both the Preschool and Tui (Toddlers) Room had a wonderful experience when the dental staff visited us recently. The children enjoyed their time learning about dental care in a fun and meaningful way.

It was a valuable and informative session that helped our tamariki understand the importance of looking after their teeth. Hands-on learning like this makes a lasting impact, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support their wellbeing in such an engaging way.

We are delighted to share that our Matariki celebration, combined with Grandparents Day, was a wonderful success! Each room warmly welcomed and entertained the grandparents with great enthusiasm, creating a joyful and memorable atmosphere.

It was heartwarming to see the grandparents spending quality time with their grandchildren, sharing smiles, stories, and laughter. Following their visit to the rooms, everyone enjoyed a lovely morning tea together, which added to the special feel of the day.

Thank you all for your continued support and for helping make this occasion so meaningful. Your presence truly made a difference, and we are grateful to have such a strong and caring community.

A Special Thank You to Our Wonderful Mothers and Grandmothers

As you all know, we hosted a special Mother’s Day Morning Tea on 9th May 2025 to celebrate the amazing mothers and grandmothers in our children’s lives. We’re so happy to share that the event went beautifully, and we’ve received some lovely feedback from many of you—thank you!

We are truly grateful for your kind words and appreciation of the decorations and everything we prepared to make the day special. It means so much to us to be able to celebrate and acknowledge the love, care, and support you give to your tamariki.

If you weren’t able to join us for our special Mother’s Day Morning Tea, please know that we missed you dearly! Your presence was truly missed, but we hope you had a lovely time celebrating with your whānau in your own special way.

Wishing you all the love and joy you deserve—not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.

Ngā mihi nui,
Bambinos Team

Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate the birthday of one of our amazing kaiako in the Tui room. He recently migrated from Fiji and began his new journey in New Zealand just six months ago. We are incredibly proud of the wealth of knowledge and experience he brings to our Bambinos family, enriching the learning environment for our children. His passion for teaching and his dedication to nurturing our little ones is truly inspiring.

At Bambinos, we believe that strong team bonds create the best learning environment for your children. The diversity, skills, and shared dedication of our kaiako make our team a close-knit family, and we are grateful to have such wonderful teachers who continuously support each other and contribute to our children’s growth. Celebrations like these are not just about the individual, but about building unity, fostering positivity, and strengthening the relationships within our team, which, in turn, benefits your child’s early learning journey.

We are so happy to have him as part of our Bambinos family, and we look forward to more moments of joy and learning together!

Bula family and whanau, the kiwi tamariki have been busy celebrating Fiji independence day as well as Fiji language week. The tamariki have been learning about their culture and that of others. Through learning about others cultures, they are developing their understanding of diversity.
The tamariki have also been learning through sensory exploration and science. This week we have been exploring magnets and different types of metals. We all had a lot of fun collecting black iron sand from the sandpit. We then placed the black sand in a bottle and explored how the magnetic force made the iron sand bend and move. Through these experiments the tamariki are developing their understanding of many science concepts like cause and effect, magnetic force, reactions, as well as size and shapes. The tamariki are also learning about problem solving, sharing and turn taking and they share the resources. Future scients in the making.

The kiwi room have been busy learning through sensory exploration. This week we have been exploring sight through light and what it can do. The tamariki have been using an overhead projector and have been discovering how light can cause reflection and make thing smaller and larger. As they work alongside each other they are developing their communication skills, vocabulary and thier understanding of many science concepts. Most importantly they are learning to work together, share ideas thoughts and theories.
