We celebrated Easter with a day full of excitement, creativity, and learning.
🎉 A fun and colourful Easter egg hunt 🥞 Making and tasting bunny‑shaped pancakes 🎨 Face painting that turned little faces into bunnies 🎈 Bright balloons that added to the festive atmosphere🐇 And a special visit from Bruno the Bunny! The children loved observing Bruno, gently interacting with him, and learning how to care for animals with kindness and respect. These moments help build empathy, curiosity, and confidence in our young learners.
Through these activities, children learn that Easter is a time to appreciate growth, hope, and the happiness of being together.

🚓 Special Visit from Our Local Police! 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️
Our tamariki had an exciting opportunity to extend their learning about transport and safety with a visit from our local police officer.
The children were absolutely thrilled to:

✨ Learn how police help keep our community safe
Experiences like this help deepen children’s understanding of community helpers, safe travel, and the important role police play in keeping everyone safe.

Beep beep! Learning on the move! 🚌💨 This week our children used Kōwhiti Whakapae maths resources to explore numerals through transportation — counting and sorting vehicles, matching numbers, and using maths language in their play. To build literacy skills, they created driver’s licences, practising letters and names. We love seeing their creativity and confidence grow every day!

We had a super fun Children’s Day disco party today! The children loved the instruments, especially the guitar, and were dancing with big, happy movements. Lots of jumping, spinning, and moving their bodies — which links so well to our gross motor focus.
