🌌✨ Exploring the Solar System Together! ✨🌌

Our tamariki have been showing a growing interest in space, so we turned it into a fun and creative learning experience! 🚀

Using cardboard circles and crayons, the children designed their own planets while learning about their colours, sizes, and special features. We then worked together to create a beautiful solar system display on black paper 🌍🪐

During mat time, we brought learning to life by singing a solar system song, helping the children remember the names and order of the planets through repetition and play 🎶

It was amazing to see their excitement, creativity, and curiosity shine. Many children can now confidently recognise planets and even recall their sequence! 💫

A wonderful mix of art, music, and learning made this experience both meaningful and fun 💛

We had a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration with our tamariki and whānau 💐

Together, we sang sign language songs, and the children proudly shared the actions and movements they have been learning. Families joined in for our sign language performance of “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” followed by “Rima Little Ducks” and our favourite song, “You Are My Sunshine” ☀️

Our celebration was made even more special as families brought a variety of delicious food from different cultures to share. It was a warm and joyful day filled with love, connection, culture, and community. Thank you to all the families who celebrated with us ❤️

We marked ANZAC Day through a meaningful experience for our children 🌺

The children created paper poppies by cutting shapes and adding black paint in the centre using their fingers, helping them connect with the symbol of remembrance in a hands-on and engaging way. This activity introduced the idea that ANZAC Day honours soldiers from New Zealand and Australia who lost their lives in World War I.

The children stood together and placed their poppies on the board while the national anthem played, creating a calm and respectful moment of remembrance.

✨ The children were engaged and thoughtful throughout, showing focus, respect, and growing empathy while beginning to understand the importance of remembering others.

🌼 Easter Fun at Our Centre! 🌼

We had a joyful Easter celebration with our children, filled with creativity, laughter, and teamwork! In the days leading up, children explored the theme through art by painting paper bunnies and making their own rabbit masks. 🐰🎨

On the big day, our space came alive as we transformed the deck for our Easter egg hunt, inspired by the song “Let’s Go for an Easter Egg Hunt.” Children worked in small groups to search for hidden Easter eggs, supporting one another and sharing the excitement along the way. 🌈✨

It was heartwarming to see older children guiding the younger ones, building confidence, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging. The smiles, teamwork, and pure joy made it a celebration to remember. 💛

Celebrating Parshv turning three with joy, laughter, and little moments that matter! 🎉📚 From singing “Happy Birthday” to counting together and sharing storybooks with friends, it was a beautiful celebration of kindness, confidence, and belonging.

We celebrated St Patrick’s Day with all our children 🍀💚, dressed in green to represent the lucky clover ☘️✨. The space was filled with green balloons and lots of laughter as the children enjoyed fun ball games together. With lively Irish music playing 🎶🎵, they passed balloons, ran around, and moved to the rhythm, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere. It was a beautiful way to introduce tamariki to a cultural celebration while encouraging movement, teamwork, sharing, and connection through play and music 🎉🍀💫

We had a wonderful time celebrating Vedansh’s graduation at our centre! 🎓✨

Dressed in his beautiful traditional clothes, Vedansh looked proud and confident as he marked this special milestone with his parents by his side. The children stood respectfully, showing patience and self-regulation as we began by singing the New Zealand national anthem together. We then sang Vedansh’s favourite song, “You Are My Sunshine,” filling the room with joy and smiles.

It was a meaningful and memorable transition moment for Vedansh, strengthening our sense of belonging and community as he prepares for his next learning journey. 🌟

This role combines preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children 🥕🥗 with supporting their learning, care, and daily routines in the centre.

If you’re currently studying ECE or planning to begin — even better! In-training teachers are also welcome to apply 🎓, and we’re happy to support your learning journey.

Children explored birds through the “5 Little Birds” song and created Pūkeko and Kea wings using cardboard and paper 🎨✂️. As Pūkeko often visit our centre, the children were especially excited to learn about them 🐦💚. We talked about feathers, painted together, and sang as we created 🎵🖌️.

The children were joyful, engaged, and proud of their artwork, showing curiosity, creativity, and a stronger connection to the birds around them 🌿✨
