Celebrating Father’s Day at Go Bananas Childcare! A beautiful day of love, laughter and togetherness! A special thank you to all our wonderful parents and families for coming together and making our Father’s Day celebration so special. Your presence, support and involvement mean so much to our children and our community.
Our little ones loved sharing their special creations and celebrating the amazing dads, grandads, uncles and father figures in their lives.

🌼 A Week of Learning, Movement & Smiles! 💛
A fun-filled week at Go Bananas Childcare! Our tamariki explored Daffodil Day through creative yellow painting, recognising their names and adding their own imaginative artwork. 🌼
We also kept little minds and bodies active with exercise challenges, coordination games and problem-solving activities — including the tricky challenge of guiding a stick through a bottle using a rope and mouth control!
Through play, movement and creativity, our tamariki built fine and gross motor skills, coordination, concentration, confidence and perseverance while having plenty of fun along the way! 💛

International Book Week at Go Bananas Childcare Swanson!
What a wonderful week of stories, imagination and learning! Our tamariki enjoyed exploring their favourite books, sharing stories, getting creative and dressing up as their favourite book characters.
Alongside our book-inspired activities, we also focused on good manners and positive mealtime routines. Before eating, our tamariki come together to sing and share our karakia, giving thanks and preparing ourselves for a happy and respectful mealtime.
Through stories, songs, sharing and everyday routines, our children are learning that books, culture, kindness and good manners all help us grow together.

Cook Islands Culture Week at Go Bananas Childcare! 🇨🇰❤️
Last week, our tamariki enjoyed a beautiful Cook Islands cultural experience! 🌴🌺 Our teachers shared stories, songs, music and conversations about Cook Islands culture, while the children joined in with singing, dancing and exploring the colourful traditions. 🎶🥁

This week our tamariki developed important life skills through meaningful play. They learnt responsibility by packing away their toys, strengthened gross motor skills with a sensory ribbon obstacle course and cycling, celebrated Friendship Day by practising kindness and teamwork, explored animal learning, and used building activities to encourage creativity and problem-solving.
Every experience helps build confident, capable, and caring learners.

Matariki Celebration 2026 ✨
What a wonderful day celebrating Matariki together at our centre! A huge thank you to all our families who came along and made the day special.
Our tamariki filled the celebration with joy as they proudly shared their beautiful singing and dancing performances. We are so proud of their confidence, enthusiasm, and the happiness they brought to everyone. It was a special moment to celebrate Matariki together, creating lasting memories with our children, whānau, and educators.
Thank you for being part of our centre family. We look forward to many more celebrations together.

🌎🚀🌿 Over the past few days our tamariki enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging learning experiences! They explored the Solar System, learned about the importance of keeping our oceans clean, got creative with play dough, participated in exciting cycling races, and participated in other fun activities to connect with nature. Through play, exploration, and hands-on activities, our children continue to build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning every day. 💙✨
