Churchill Park School

An incredible day at Tree Adventures for Rangitoto Whānau today. Under perfect blue skies, our Year 7 and 8 students pushed themselves to new heights, navigating challenges up to 15 metres in the air.

There were plenty of wobbly legs, a few nervous faces, and more than a few students who discovered they were much braver than they thought, with some reaching heights of up to 15 metres above the forest floor. It was fantastic to see students challenging themselves, conquering fears, and encouraging one another every step (and zipline) of the way.

A huge thank you to the staff, parent helpers, and the team at Tree Adventures for helping make it such a memorable day. The students will certainly sleep well tonight... although their arms may not thank them tomorrow.

Tāmaki students had a trip to Motat on Thursday. Thanks to all the amazing support from whanau, Churchill staff, and the Motat organisation - the children grew so much from this experience!

Thanks very much to Asha from Hato Hone, St John’s for coming in and teaching Waitemata students basic first aid this week.

A wonderful day of planting out 800 of our Trees for Survival plants with help from Adopt a Park. Wildlands, friends of Churchill Park volunteers, and of course our amazing parents and class Enviro Reps.
