𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝟐𝟔

On Wednesday, 10 of our Year 12 and 13 students had the opportunity to attend MIT Elevate 26, a one-day leadership programme held at MIT’s Manukau campus.

Designed to encourage senior students to take ownership of their next steps beyond high school, the programme provided a day of meaningful learning.

Our students had a fun, purposeful, and engaging day, gaining valuable insights and experiences to help them navigate their future pathways with confidence.

A big thank you to MIT for providing this fantastic opportunity for our students!

A special moment at Wesley College as we welcomed 𝑻𝒆 𝑲𝒂𝒉𝒖 𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏 to share his talent, passion, and powerful words with our students.

Once again, thank you, Te Kahu, for inspiring our young people and empowering them to find the power in their own voices!

We were lucky to have 𝑻𝒆 𝑲𝒂𝒉𝒖 𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏 visit our school today and share his talents with us during chapel.

He also spent time working with our Spoken Word teams, sharing his knowledge and valuable tips as our team prepares for the 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 Spoken Word Grand Slam, taking place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the Aotea Centre.

A huge thank you to Te Kahu for inspiring and supporting our students as they continue to find their voices and express themselves through the power of spoken word.

Congratulations to our Girls 1st XV, who are the Provincial Union Cup Girls Division 2 Champions!

The tournament brings together teams from across the Waikato, Counties Manukau, Bay of Plenty and Thames Valley regions. This victory caps off a fantastic season, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work, commitment and determination shown by the team throughout the season.

Congratulations, girls! We are so proud of your achievements.

We are delighted to share the experience of our Year 12 student, 𝑯𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒖𝒓, who represented Wesley College at the Emerging Ethnic Leaders Breakfast in Mt Wellington.

We are incredibly proud of Husanpreet and the way she continues to demonstrate that leadership is not only about what we do at school, but also how we contribute to and represent our wider community.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎: On Friday, our candidates for Student Representative on the School Board presented their speeches to the school, sharing their ideas, perspectives and hopes for representing the student voice.

We are proud of all four students for putting themselves forward and having the confidence to speak before the school.
