We began our celebration on Wednesday with a meaningful message from respected minister, Rev. Faleu Futi, who inspired and encouraged our school community through his words of faith, culture, and unity. On Thursday, our Samoan teachers prepared a special morning tea filled with delicious Samoan foods, bringing everyone together in fellowship and culture. Today, our talented Samoan students proudly shared vibrant performances that showcased the beauty, strength, and spirit of Samoa.

Today, 9 of our students attended Engineering in Action, delivered by Wintecโs Centre for Engineering and Industrial Design (CEID) in partnership with the Waikato Engineering Careers Association.
The day provided students with exciting hands-on experiences through interactive engineering demonstrations on campus. They also had the opportunity to speak with staff, current students, and graduates to learn more about engineering study options and future career pathways.
As part of the programme, students visited Wade Group Ltd, an innovative engineering company that designs and builds a wide range of specialised vehicles. During the site visit, our students witnessed the construction process of Police prisoner transport vans โ from the early build stages through to the fully fitted-out vehicles.
A huge thank you to the organisers and industry partners for providing such an engaging and inspiring learning experience for our students.

From a Year 7 boarder facing adversity to now serving as a Social Worker, devoted family man, and member of the Wesley College School Board โ Stewart's journey is a powerful reflection of the lasting impact of Wesley College.
That Wesley legacy is also shared within his own whaanau, as both he and his wife are proud former Wesley College students. Today, their family continues that tradition, with three of their children currently attending Wesley College and growing in their faith, culture, education, and character.

Three of our students have returned from an unforgettable 10-day voyage aboard the Spirit of New Zealand, where they embraced new challenges, built lifelong friendships, experienced the adventure of life at sea, and discovered what it truly means to work as a team.
From climbing the rigging to sailing the open ocean, this journey pushed our students beyond their comfort zones and into experiences they will carry with them forever. Along the way, they showed courage, resilience, leadership, and the adventurous spirit that makes us incredibly proud.
A huge thank you to the Spirit of Adventure Trust, our supportive staff, and our wonderful whaanau for helping make this extraordinary opportunity possible.
Well done to our students for representing our school with pride and enthusiasm!
