LIGHTS NEEDED FOR WEARABLE ARTS!

Kia ora community! We’re getting ready for our Wearable Arts evening this Thursday night and are on the hunt for some extra lighting to help light up our runway.

Does anyone have builder’s lights, portable spotlights, floodlights or similar that we could borrow for the evening?

We’re looking for a few strong lights that we can position around the runway and point towards our amazing creations as they come down the catwalk.

If you have anything that might work, please PM us here. We promise to take great care of them and will return them the following day.

For Aotea whānau exploring on and off-island high school options, come along and meet Saira, Principal of Aotearoa Infinite Academy, and Pene on-island this Tuesday 18 August from 11am onwards.

I’m a big fan of what Infinite Academy is doing. It’s a tuition-free, fully online NZ secondary school with live classes, registered teachers, small groups and pastoral support.

There’s also exciting potential to work alongside Aotea Education Trust and Te Whare Ako, to broaden and build on the great work already happening here and create even more authentic secondary learning opportunities for our young people on Aotea.

Our students have been training hard to get to the AIMS Games, but to get them across the finish line, we need your help! Next week, our crew is taking on a Workout-athon to raise the vital funds needed to cover travel, accommodation, and entry fees.

We'd love to see your imagination take centre stage. Whether you're creating on your own, with friends, or as a family, this is your chance to design a wearable artwork inspired by what Aotea could look like 1,000 years from now.
