It was wonderful to see children confidently counting money, making choices, communicating with their peers, and using mathematical thinking in meaningful and enjoyable ways. ❤️

At Happy Kiddy Huapai, our Pāua Room tamariki have been on a beautiful and meaningful journey this Anzac Week—exploring remembrance through creativity, connection, and shared experiences.

Together, our children created a stunning handprint poppy wreath, symbolising unity and peace within our centre. Through hands-on art—painting vibrant poppy fields, crafting with playdough, and transforming recycled materials into shimmering creations—our tamariki expressed their understanding in ways that are both joyful and respectful.

Beyond the art table, they explored puzzles, matching games, and even designed their own special medals—building focus, patience, and a sense of pride. These experiences support their growing understanding of Belonging and Contribution, as they begin to connect with the wider world and the stories that shape our community.
