This has included 8 years in a nearby centre in our community. Mamatha comes with an impeccable reputation and is excited to be joining Marshwood.

Marshwood Montessori, Glendowie are hosting an Open Day on Saturday February 12th. We will be taking one on one tours of our lovely school, where you can meet the teachers, view our meticulously designed playground and classrooms. You can experience personally why we can give your child the best preparation for school, the opportunities to develop self-esteem, concentration, coordination and independence. We are a fully vaccinated preschool and you can safely book a time to individually take your tour to view the school.

There is an exciting opportunity at Marshwood Montessori Preschool for a registered part time teacher, working two to three days in our beautiful, purpose built centre. We are looking for a qualified, registered teacher to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team. We are a small, privately owned centre based in Glendowie, licensed for 40 children. We have two Montessori designed classrooms, one for the 2 to 3 and a half year olds and the other class for three to six year olds.

The position is to work in both classrooms over two to three days a week with a view to this becoming full time over the next year if desired. Your key duties will include implementing the Montessori teaching philosophy, liaising with parents, writing stories and becoming part of our growing team. We pride ourselves on our loyal customer base, well resourced classrooms and our passionate teachers.

Skills and experience required

NZ degree or diploma qualified and a current registration
Hold a current first aid certificate
Favourably a qualification and experience working with the Montessori philosophy
Exposure to working with children aged from two to six years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A commitment to both Montessori philosophy and Te Whaariki curriculum
Computer literate
