GO THE ALL WHITES!

The children have been proudly practising their cheers and waving their silver fern flags ahead of today's All Whites game. It has been awesome to see their excitement as they support New Zealand's team through our FIFA World Cup inquiry. This week we will be learning a few soccor skills as well such as dribbling, passing, control over kicking the ball and the importance of working together as a team.

The children have absolutely loved our most recent Chicken lifecycle program, being part of the whole process, from helping set up the brooder box, watching the chicks hatch🐣, observing their very first feed, and learning how to care for and hold them gently. It has been such a special learning experience for the children, filled with curiosity and excitement!

We also lucky dipped names from our name jar and there were some very creative suggestions where all our chicks were named by the children.

Autumn is such a great time in Marshwood's natural wonder to learn about plants, gardening and falling leaves 🫚

You may have already heard, but we’re excited to share that we have a new pet Axolotl who is just a few months old! Our last Axolotl Walkie survived for 12 years and the children deeply missed her.

The children took a vote to name him/her (we are not sure of the s*x) and Monti was the winner. Long live Monti 🥰

We celebrated the Chinese Lantern Festival where our children created their own lanterns and got to see them swing in the breeze. Our Marshwood families came and celebrated afternoon tea with authentic Chinese food!
