📖✨ Inter-School Proclaiming of the Word Competition – ✨📖
On 11 August, Tangi represented our school at the School Proclaiming of the Word Competition, hosted by St Joseph’s Ōtāhuhu.
Congratulations to Tangi, who won our Aubert Team competition in June and proclaimed with clarity, confidence and reverence. Tangi was supported by our Senior Team finalist. We are very proud of her.
Congratulations to Amelia from St Ann’s Manurewa, the 2026 winner, whose beautiful proclamation brought the Scripture to life through her reverence, expression, and faith. Amelia was presented with her award by Kapriella Collins, the 2025 winner. Her proclamation was a wonderful reminder of the power of God’s Word.
A special thank you to our judges, Justine from Caritas and Kuilei, our RE advisor.l from the Catholic schools office. Your role was not easy, and we are grateful for the time, care and wisdom you brought to the competition.
Thank you to St Joseph’s for hosting and to Shannon Massari for organising this special event. It was a wonderful gathering of Catholic schools, united in faith and love of God’s Word. 🙏🏽📖

This week, we come together to celebrate the beautiful language, culture, and rich traditions of the Kingdom of Tonga.
This year’s official community theme highlights the powerful role of song and melody in keeping heritage alive:📌 "Ko ‘etau hiva, ko e fe’unu mahu’inga ia ki he mo’ui ‘a e Tonga" — Our music is a vital strand of our Tongan culture. Music and song are the heartbeats of Tongan identity.
From traditional hymns to modern tunes, music carries our history, stories, faith, and values from one generation to the next.
Let’s celebrate by lifting our voices and keeping the lea faka-Tonga alive through song and conversation! 🎤✨

Catholic Caring Foundation Award is presented annually during the Bishop's Caring Mass in the Auckland Diocese at Christ the King Church, Mt Roskill. It honours students and community members who show exceptional care, compassion, and service in our community. We were also lucky to see Jenny Salesa who is the MP Panmure/Otahuhu electorate.
