Many students begin their study journey with the question:
“Which university should I choose?”
But there’s another question that’s just as important:
Where do I want to work and live?
According to Education New Zealand, most international students choose Auckland, Canterbury, Waikato, Wellington, and Otago.
Each region has its own strengths:
• Auckland attracts students with its large job market and career opportunities.
• Canterbury is known for strong engineering and technology programmes.
• Wellington is home to government agencies, IT, and creative industries.
• Waikato offers a strong connection between education, business, and research.
• Otago is famous for its student lifestyle and one of the country’s most prestigious universities.
It’s also important to remember that the city where you study is not necessarily the city where you’ll live after graduation.

Do you need to achieve the required IELTS score before applying to study in New Zealand? Or maybe not?
In practice, there are alternative pathways available.
Some institutions allow students to complete an English language preparation programme and then receive reimbursement for most of the tuition cost after progressing to their main programme.
For example:
• SIT — up to NZ$9,000 reimbursement
• Otago Polytechnic — up to NZ$6,000 reimbursement
• Lincoln University — up to NZ$5,760 reimbursement
• Auckland Institute of Studies — up to NZ$5,000 reimbursement
It’s important to understand that this does not usually mean free English study from the start.
Students typically pay for the course first, and reimbursement is provided after successfully completing the programme and enrolling in their main course of study.
This pathway can be helpful for students who do not yet meet the English requirements for direct entry or who want to adapt to academic English before beginning their degree.

You do not need an apostille to move to New Zealand.
This question has been coming up more and more often lately, partly because of inaccurate advice generated by AI tools.
If you’re planning a move to New Zealand, you will indeed need to prepare a number of documents. Any documents that are not in English must be translated.
However, an apostille is not required — so don’t spend extra time and money obtaining one.
What’s more, if you apply to a university through us, notarization of translations is generally not necessary either, as we verify the documents ourselves. A translation with the stamp of any professional translation agency is sufficient and is accepted by both educational institutions and Immigration New Zealand.
This makes the process simpler and more affordable.
If you’re just starting to explore your options for moving to New Zealand, our website can help you understand how the system works and what costs to expect. You can also book a consultation if you’d like personalized guidance

Cyprus and New Zealand often appear on lists of popular relocation destinations, but they usually attract very different types of people.
• Cyprus is chosen for its warm climate, the sea, and a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle.
• New Zealand is known for its safety, career opportunities, stunning nature, and family-friendly environment.
When comparing the two countries across key factors:
🇨🇾 Cyprus offers a warmer climate and a high number of sunny days throughout the year
🇳🇿 New Zealand features cooler weather, distinct seasons, and an incredible variety of natural landscapes
From a career perspective, New Zealand generally provides more opportunities for skilled professionals, particularly in healthcare, engineering, construction, and education.
Cyprus is often preferred by remote workers, entrepreneurs, and those who prioritize climate and lifestyle above all else.
For families, New Zealand remains one of the most popular choices thanks to its safety, education system, and overall quality of life

Healthcare is one of the most in-demand sectors in New Zealand.
Today, many healthcare professions are included on the official Green List.
At the same time, healthcare remains not only one of the most sought-after fields but also one of the most demanding when it comes to relocation.
To work in their profession, most healthcare specialists will need to:
• have their qualifications assessed and recognized
• complete professional registration
• demonstrate the required level of English proficiency
The reward is access to a stable job market and competitive salaries.
For example:
• Registered Nurse — NZ$64,280–68,195 per year
• Midwife — NZ$68,195–76,677 per year
• Medical Laboratory Scientist — NZ$61,670–87,770 per year
• Doctor — NZ$94,947–175,561 per year
Healthcare is undoubtedly one of the strongest pathways for those considering a move to New Zealand (and many other countries as well).
However, qualification recognition and professional registration can be challenging parts of the journey.
