A huge congratulations to student Brian Pham! 🎉 His incredible design was selected for the Waima Special Species exhibition, honouring the Mokopirirakau (forest gecko).
Brian's artwork, along with other amazing pieces from local high school students, received plenty of attention and positive feedback from the many daily visitors at Arataki Visitor Centre. A big thank you to Waima to Laingholm Pest Free for organising this wonderful initiative to connect art and conservation!
Well done, Brian, on this awesome and well-deserved achievement! Your talent is an inspiration. 👏

Heart full ♥️
Flying to Vietnam to catch up with our beautiful families is always a highlight. It’s more than a visit; it’s a chance to share stories, to see where our students' wonderful spirits come from, and to feel the incredible support system that surrounds them.
These moments of connection, laughter, and shared meals remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to our amazing Vietnamese families for your endless kindness and for trusting us with your children's journeys. We are so grateful to be a part of your extended family. ❤️

Greta Guidara, a Year 12 International student from Italy, is taking a 'home-made' GBHS momento with her when she returns home at the end of term.
Acting Head of Faculty, Seán Finan, says Greta made two cutting boards, a serving tray and some coasters, using American Oak, and became a dab hand at using the laser cutter to etch her design.
