This is a simultaneous equation question I got from one student. The key is to rearrange the second equation and substitute in to the first one. I provide question answering service for 30NZD per week. If you have any questions with your homework, sign up to this service and get help straight away! There’re only three vacancies left, don’t miss out!

This chapter is about law of cosines and applying it to find each side and area of the triangle. Labeling each side and the opposing angle is the first step, then correctly apply the formula based on the values you have to solve the question.

Today we did exponents and logarithms. There’re many rules and laws around logarithms so it’s important to memorize each of them and be able to apply a mixture of the rules in calculations.

I did more on inequality with my level 1 math student today. We were working on quadratic inequalities. The key is to divide it up to a number of cases with different signs to make the result either positive or a negative.

This is what I did what my level 3 student today, it’s about amplitude, period, phase shift and frequency. This can be a confusing chapter so students need to have a good understanding of each term, period is going from on peak to the next. Amplitude is from the height of the center to the peak. Phase shift and vertical shift is how far the function shifted horizontally and vertically.

This is a summary of graphs, symmetries and periodicities of Sin, Cos and Tan. You would be required to know their characteristic, period and amplitude.

This question incorporates finding an equation for a line and finding the intersection for two lines. So given the two points in the diagram we can substitute them into the formula to get expression for line AB. Then work out simultaneous equations with line AO to find the point of intersection. The rest is easy!
