We are a friendly group of parents who organise fun activities for our children and families to raise money for our wonderful school!

Just a quick update to let you know a bit about the PTA.

We are a very small group of 6 parents looking for more to join the team.

AND WE WANT YOU!!

Our meetings consist of talking, laughing and working on ways to give our kids the best environment to learn in and have loads of fun.

Some of the events the team works on includes;
The colour run
Yearly disco
Mother's day raffle
Scholastic's book fair(on at the moment in the library before and after school)
And many more...

Our main aim is to make sure the kids are having fun and the money raised goes back into prizes for them or updating things around the school so that it is a more enjoyable and fun place to be.

Please come and join us for a meeting.
We understand that we all have busy lives and sometimes it's not possible to attend every meeting but we would love to have a bigger team.

Sponsors needed!
If you know of an amazing business that would like to help with sponsorship for 2025, or you are able to provide a service that would help, could you please get in contact with the PTA.

Stanmore Bay School PTA is made up of a very small team of committed parents and teaching staff.
Help is needed from our schools community to be able to provide your children with fun days like the colour blast and disco.

The funds made from these events go towards improving the playgrounds and other areas of the school that need to be upgraded.

We greatly appreciate any help you are willing to contribute.

Closing date for all orders is Monday 11th for delivery to school on Thursday 14th Dec so be quick! Coast Cakes will donate a portion of the profits to Stanmore Bay School PTA. Thanks Coast Cakes!

THANK YOU! Notices only went home about this fabulous PTA event a week ago and we have already raised over $8,700! Of course not all of this is profit (obstacle course hire, prizes, Raise-it Commission).

The drink bottles have been sent to classes (first 100 with a sponsor). Due to some printing smudges several drink bottles are being reprinted. Students from Rooms 10, 24 and 25 will be getting theirs as soon as they arrive.

Fundraising Hub 12/11/2023

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up and raised sponsors. In less than a week we have already raised over $6,500!!! Thank you so much for your support.

A reminder that anyone can see comments written by you or your child's sponsors so please keep these G-rated.

At Monday morning's school hui drink bottles will be given out to the first 100 accounts signed up to the Raiseit Platform and who have a sponsor of any value against their name. This list will be collated tomorrow afternoon.

A few families have made one account for multiple children, if this is the case and they fall in the first 100 accounts, only 1 drink bottle will be issued. Money raised will be split across the children, i.e, a family that has raised $60 will have $30 manual assigned to each child, so they can both be entered into the spot prize draw (spot prizes are aged-based). The same applies to overall winners. If a family falls in the overall winners, then this amount will be split across the children (half, third, quarter of the amount). Likewise with the class prizes, the amount raised will be split across the classes of the children in that family. This will all be done manually before each draw, so amounts on the raiseit website may not be entirely reflective of the amount raised for each class.

Remember there is no charge to anyone to participate but we appreciate all the sponsorship we can raise to help upgrade our playgrounds.

There will be two spot prize draws before the event, and 1 spot prize draw afterwards. Students receive 1 entry for every $10 raised. The earlier funds are raised, the longer names stay in the draw.

Draws will be conducted the 2 Sundays preceding the event (not tomorrow), and about a week after the event, once the portal closes. Winners will be announced at the Monday Hui following and then posted on Hero. There are lots of great prizes you can view on the raiseit website.

A timetable will come out closer to the event.

Is there anyone out there with some financial background that might be willing to take over the PTA Treasurer role? Our current Treasurer is moving to Christchurch soon and while we have someone else on the Committee able to fill in, we would prefer to find someone able to perhaps commit more ongoing.

If you are confident with excel spreedsheets, willing to attend a monthly meeting, action the occasional bank transaction, produce a pretty basic monthly financial report along with one or two other annual tasks at year end, we would REALLY love to hear from you NOW! please email us at [email protected]

We have an exciting whole school fundraiser event coming up really soon and we can't wait to announce it all next week!
