Pink Shirt Day in Discoverers & Creators 💗

Today we are celebrating Pink Shirt Day .
A day all about kindness, inclusion, friendship, and standing up against bullying.

Our tamariki explored what it means to be a kind friend through conversations, play, sharing, and working together. We talked about using kind words, helping others feel included, and how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

At MiniDale, we want every child to feel safe, valued, loved, and proud to be themselves. Seeing our tamariki dressed in pink while spreading kindness throughout the day has been so special!

Road Safety Week in full sunshine mode ☀️🚦

Our Discoverers and Creators headed off on a little adventure to the park today with their stop/go signs, learning all about how to keep ourselves safe near roads and cars.

We practiced stopping, looking, listening, and crossing carefully together while building confidence out in our community

So much learning, teamwork, and fun… all while “Walking on Sunshine”

✨ This week our kaiako took part in a wonderful workshop exploring new ways to support tamariki with using music and movement during the day🚀🎶

One of our favourite ideas was using an imaginary rocket ship journey, where every child’s voice and ideas helped “launch” our adventure together. Through music, movement, breathing, and imaginative play, tamariki were able to connect, regulate their emotions, and find calmness in a fun and engaging way. 💫

We loved learning how powerful movement and shared experiences can be in helping children feel safe, settled, and ready to learn. ❤️
