Are you obsessed with how delicious your baby smells? 💘
You’re not imagining it - your baby’s scent activates the same feel-good pathways in your brain as your favourite treat.
Certain smells can inspire an immediate and primal brain response, releasing dopamine and triggering that deep instinct to nurture and protect.
Their smell is designed to draw you in and deepen the bond.
It’s why you might feel a little unsettled when someone else has held your baby, and they smell slightly different to usual 🤍
That familiar scent is part of your connection - and your instincts know it.
It’s not just love. It’s evolution doing its beautiful work 🩶

🤎 In those early weeks, sucking isn’t just a reflex, it’s one of the key ways your baby finds comfort and begins to regulate their little body and emotions.
It’s an involuntary reflex that begins when babies are developing in the womb.

Layer up, little one 🧣❄️
As the temperatures begin to shift, so should your baby’s wardrobe - especially during those cooler mornings and crisp nights.
When dressing your baby for sleep or buggy walks, think layers:
🌙 Natural fibres like merino or organic cotton help regulate your baby’s temperature.
☀️ Daytime layers can be adjusted easily for warmth on-the-go.
🛏️ Night time? A thermal sleep sack or extra layer may be needed now that the air is chillier — but always check baby’s chest or back to gauge warmth, not their hands or feet.
This little one is beautifully bundled for an outdoor nap - snug but not sweaty, cosy but not restricted. ✨
Need help figuring out the right sleepwear or layers for your baby this season? I’m here to help, from newborn days right through to 12 months.

✨ Daylight Saving Time is ending soon, mamas! ⏰
In 3 weeks the clocks will fall back one hour - and yes, your baby’s internal clock might feel it too.
The good news? You can gently prepare for the shift by adjusting your little one’s sleep times gradually over the next few weeks.
Try pushing naps, feeds and bedtime later by 10–15 minutes every few days.
Slow and steady wins the race - and helps avoid those 5am wake-ups!
You’ve got this 💛

✨ “You’ve changed our lives!” ✨
Music to my ears… and, it never gets old 🙌🏻
So many mamas come to me thinking they’ll have to listen to their babies cry a lot, or that they’ll feel cruel making any changes. But guess what? That’s not how we do things here! 💁🏻♀️
“Honestly, you have changed our lives (you probably hear that a lot), but what a difference—and it wasn’t painful either! I thought I’d feel cruel and have to listen to her cry a lot, but that never happened.” — Charlotte B, Mama to baby Rita.
Getting the right support doesn’t have to be hard or heartbreaking. If you’re ready to make some gentle changes that actually work, I’ve got you covered! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🤷♀️Witching Hour’… is it normal? 🤷♀️
Hear me out, mamas… There’s always a reason why your baby is crying or unsettled—especially if it’s happening regularly.
In my experience, thorough burping techniques, age-appropriate sleep, and feeding routines are usually the answer.
But I get it, life isn’t always that simple…
When you’re in that later part of the day, juggling other kids, cooking dinner, or just making sure the house isn’t burning down, a baby carrier or front pack is your best friend!!
You’ll have free hands and a happy baby, nice and close to you. Win, win! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🍼Wondering if your baby’s actually full?🍼
When I was a first-time mum, I constantly worried if my baby was getting enough milk. Now, with my years of professional experience and expertise, I’m here to take the guesswork out of it for you! 🙌🏻
Here are some clear signs your bub is getting their fill – whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding or a combination of the two:
🍼 Content and Happy Baby: After a feed (and a burp or two) a full baby looks relaxed and happy, with those dreamy, milk-drunk eyes.
🍼 Wet Nappies: For newborn babies (0-12 weeks), about 6-8 wet nappies a day indicates good hydration and successful feeding.
🍼 Steady Weight Gain: On average, once the milk is flowing, a newborn baby will gain between 150-200 grams a week for the first 12 weeks.
🍼 Frequent Feedings: Newborn babies often feed around 8-12 times in 24 hours.
🍼 Active Feeding: Watch for active suckling and swallowing during feeds—it’s like a mini workout for your baby!
🍼 Longer Sleep Stretches: If your baby is sleeping longer and more peacefully after feeds, it’s a sign they’re full and satisfied, and not battling with any wind post-feed.
Remember, every feeding journey is unique. It’s taken me years of experience and training to spot these signs, so don’t worry if you’re not an expert overnight. 🌙
