Our tamariki enjoyed exploring Samoan culture through music, drumming, language, and hands-on learning experiences. These meaningful moments help children develop an appreciation for diversity, strengthen their sense of belonging, and build connections with the cultures that make our community so special.

Last Friday at our centre, we came together to celebrate Pink Shirt Day with meaningful art and craft activities that encouraged kindness, inclusion, and friendship 💗

Our tamariki explored creativity through beautiful pink-themed artwork, hands-on crafts, and conversations about caring for one another and every activity helped create a positive and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and safe.

These experiences not only support creativity and fine motor development, but also help children build empathy, confidence, and strong social connections from an early age.

This year, we're supporting The Kindness Collective's PJ Project.

Up until the 12th June, we'll be collecting brand new pyjamas - our centre is a drop-off point if you'd like to donate in person, or you can donate online if that's easier.

There’s something truly special happening in our centre… 🐣💛

Watching our first chickens hatching today has been an incredible learning experience for our tamariki. From patiently waiting and observing the eggs, to witnessing the first tiny cracks and finally meeting the chicks, it’s been full of wonder, excitement, and curiosity.

This hands-on experience supports so much more than just “cute moments.” It helps our children to:
✨ Understand real-life concepts like growth and change
✨ Develop empathy and care for living things
✨ Build language through conversations, questions, and storytelling
✨ Explore curiosity and early science in a meaningful way

Moments like these create lasting memories and deepen our connection to the natural world. We love seeing the joy, amazement, and gentle care our tamariki show during this special process.
