Dear Mama
I know the daily struggle is real and it feels like it is never ending ...
But be mindful that this is not how your life is going to be forever. This is just a season.
Hang in there, you are doing amazing!

Little one's feelings are just as valid as adult feelings.
The difference is
π« little ones don't have the emotional capacity or the vocabulary to express, in an organised way, exactly how they feel
π« the part of their brain responsible for inhibiting behaviour, is still a long way off from maturing, so they act on their feelings - instantly
π« they often have no idea what is going on, just that something is wrong
Ask yourself this
π Is my approach one of support, guidance and teaching
π Am I role modelling healthy habits that support emotional wellbeing for myself and my little one
π What language am I using around emotions

Births rarely go according to plan.
For many it is a traumatic experience. For some less so.
Have you ever considered writing down your birth story? Not type. Write. With pen on paper.
There's something to be said for having a pen in your hand and letting your thoughts flow, especially when documenting something as momentous as the birth of a child.
Don't hold back, don't sensor your thoughts, write what you feel. Allow yourself to be honest and raw to make space for healing π

Q - What do I do if I get unsolicited parenting advice?
A - Generally people offering advice are people that just want to help, it is coming from a good place. However, their advice is not always helpful or needed.
A polite 'thank you but I don't need your advice/help with this' often does the trick. It's called healthy boundaries π

In a nutshell, if kids get what they need in early childhood, they are going to be okay. If they donβt get what they need in early childhood, for whatever reason, they are going to have great challenges - Dr Gabor Mate, Healing Our Children World Summit
