Hey there friends and followers - it's been a while since we posted.

Just sharing some juicy pics of the much needed foodwaste deposits that we receive fortnightly. These large quantities of food scraps are diverted from landfill and feed straight into The CarbonCycle Co Ltd compost bins and expanding swales that our managers have created (with the help from Amanda/Ecomatters) - That's them doing the hard mahi.

Big thanks to the regular drop-offs from the Second bite team under EcoMatters Environment Trust.

Happy Friday friends

Wow, can you believe it, we're almost at the end of 2024. Have you set yourself any challenges for the new year? - how about joining the DEANZ Board in 2025! DEANZ is the not-for profit organization that supports the Doughnut Hub and Repair Cafe programs.

We're looking for talented people to contribute their knowledge, passion and drive to this important organization!

We're seeking people who have:
- An understanding and passion for sustainability, and a knowledge of what climate change is doing to the planet.

- People with an understanding and empathy for demographics in NZ which are struggling and might need support.

- People with good communication skills, (orally and written) who work well with others and can articulate themselves clearly.

- Strategic thinkers who are open-minded and impartial to new ideas and concepts.

First-timers and experienced board members equally welcome - it doesn't matter, we'd love to hear from you. Varied range of commitment required.

Curious and keen to learn more, email us at: [email protected]

Wow, check out all this fresh kai produced at the Rangeview Intermediate Doughnut hub gardens recently - this is what this project is all about.

Thanks to the school, the community volunteers and the DH manager for overseeing these expanding gardens - it’s looking so good!!

Our next Climate Conversation is coming up next Monday, 25th November. How can we get our children involved in environmental activities?

How can we make sure they know they ARE nature, how they can care for the earth and all its creatures and interwoven systems, how they can help us (adults) to do as right by their future as we possibly can?

Andrew from the Edmonton Scouts Group will share their story. Come and be part of this discussion, or share what you do already.. See you there! For more details see below.

Happy September community,

Calling all green thumbs and eager learners - we're looking for willing volunteers every Wednesday for 1-3 hours, to help out at the Rangeview Doughnut Hub!

The hub has been flourishing along nicely, we've got plenty fresh ideas and fresh seedlings but we could do with a few more hands to develop the gardens etc! Drop us a line first or text the mobile on the flyer.

Volunteering at the local Doughnut Hub is a great way to engage with the community, meet your neighbours, get amongst it (outdoor wellness) and learn a thing or two about gardening.

Big thanks to Jesmond and Greg from Rangeview Intermediate for the ongoing school support but also thanks to our sponsors and supporters, including:
- The Trusts Community Foundation
- Lotteries commission
- The Carbon Cycle Company
- EcoMatters Environment Trust
- DEANZ - Doughnut Economics Advocates New Zealand

Thanks.
