We know that for some students, the traditional school environment can feel overwhelming. Whether it’s due to anxiety, health challenges, or simply needing a different pace, ‘not making it in’ shouldn’t mean the end of a child’s educational journey.

At Zest Education, we bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be. We offer a soft landing—a calm, judgment-free space where well-being is prioritized just as much as academics.

How we support your child:

• A Nurturing Environment: Students are welcome to attend during school hours if they’re unable to make it into school, or access support online. We help them stay connected to their learning, coursework, and credits in a quieter, low-pressure environment, while gently rebuilding confidence where it’s needed.

• Individualized 1:1 support shaped around each student’s needs, strengths, and pace.

• Confidence-building learning that focuses on small steps forward and sustainable progress.

Education doesn’t have to happen behind a school desk to be meaningful.

🔹Breathwork - A Practical Experience for Teens

Monday 2nd February | 5:00pm | 75-minute session

This breathwork session is designed to give teens a practical, supportive experience where they can begin building a relationship with their breath.
Together we’ll explore simple breathing practices they can take away and weave into daily life — tools to help them feel more empowered as they move into the year ahead.

The session will support teens in working with feelings of anxiety in a positive way, help improve focus and mental clarity, and offer techniques to support rest and down-regulation when their nervous system needs it.

We’ll finish by weaving everything together into a guided breath experience, giving them the opportunity to experience and feel the shifts these practices can create in their body and mind - in a way that feels real and tangible.

School holidays are for relaxing — and they’re also the perfect time to catch up without the pressure of daily homework and exams.

Our Holiday Catch-Up Sessions offer a calm, supportive environment where students can reset, rebuild confidence, and feel more prepared for the term ahead.

These sessions are designed to help students:

✔ Fill in learning gaps from the year before
✔ Build confidence and motivation
✔ Get a head start for year ahead

A few focused hours now can make a world of difference for Term 1 especially in relation to confidence.

🔹Our Holiday Programme begins Monday 12 January, running Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm, offering back-to-school refreshers and catch-up sessions.

🔹Term One 2026 starts on Tuesday 27 January — spaces are limited, so we encourage you to get in early to secure your spot.

Looking for a patient, fluffy, and endlessly enthusiastic learning buddy? Look no further! Nixon is a calming, curly-haired expert ready to make learning fun.

Subjects Nixon Excels In:

✨Active Listening: He’s always ready to lend an ear (or two!) to any struggles or triumphs.
✨Stress Relief: His soft fur, calming presence and sweet eyes, are excellent at helping create a calming atmosphere.
✨Motivation & Breaks: He’s an expert at knowing when it’s time for a 5-minute cuddle or a toy break to recharge.
✨The Science of Squeak: He’s currently conducting advanced research on the physics of The Best Squeak Ever of all of his favourite soft toys. 🧸🦴

Hi, I’m Lachlan, and I’ve been a tutor at Zest Education for six months, after privately tutoring for over four years. Working at Zest and meeting so many dedicated students has been incredibly fulfilling. I love helping them overcome challenges and satiate their thirst for knowledge. That moment when a concept finally “clicks” is always the highlight of my week.

Outside of Zest, I’m a full-time student in my final year at the University of Auckland, completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance. Being a part of the Zest team has given me invaluable experience, and I use the skills I have developed from tutoring in my studies daily. In my spare time, I enjoy getting lost in a good fantasy novel or taking a long walk to clear my mind. Growing up in Auckland surrounded by a mix of nature and the city has shaped me into the person I am today, and Zest continues to give me opportunities to grow and make a difference.
