The latest update on Te Poho O TIPENE indicates successful completion of the installation of the top windows, marking a significant milestone in the restoration process of the central building at TIPENE | St Stephen’s School. The next task on the agenda involves painting the exterior to improve the aesthetics of the area, a crucial step towards the complete revitalization of Te Poho to its original splendor. Working alongside a team of young Māori architects, the project's objective is to modernize and expand the rear section of Te Poho, aiming to harmonize the old and new elements of the structure. This initiative plays a vital role in preserving our heritage while simultaneously setting the stage for a promising future for our Tāuira and the TIPENE community.

Te Karere recently featured Nathan Durie discussing Charter Schools, shedding light on the upcoming transformation of our esteemed Kura, TIPENE | St Stephen's, into a Charter school by 2025. The distinctive nature of being a Charter school will distinguish TIPENE by providing a tailored educational journey for its students.

One of the defining characteristics of TIPENE as a Charter school will be its modified daily schedule, featuring early starts and late dismissals. These extended school hours are meticulously crafted to boost efficiency, allowing ample time for academic pursuits and personal development. TIPENE's primary objective is to cultivate a supportive environment that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience for its students.

With a focus on academic excellence and holistic development, TIPENE is committed to nurturing young minds to flourish academically and personally. By offering a well-rounded educational curriculum and prioritizing individual growth, TIPENE aims to provide students with a platform to thrive and succeed in all facets of their educational journey.

One of Aotearoa’s oldest boarding schools set to reopen 18/01/2024

Kia Ora and a big welcome back to all our new and old followers!
Happy New Year, we hope you have all had a wonderful holiday with all your loved ones.

Throughout the year 2023, we made significant achievements for the re-opening of Te Kura o Tīpene, and today, we wanted to share a very significant event and our next step towards re-opening Tīpene. On Friday, December 8th, 2023, we had the privilege of welcoming our new Tumuaki to Tīpene Nathan & Yvette. It was a truly heartwarming day for all involved.

This year we want to show you the upkeep & work we have done not only at St Stephens- Tipene but also, at Queen Victoria School in Parnell. Both schools are equally important to the Trust and we can't wait to share more with you throughout the year!

Mauri Ora whanau!

Kia Ora e te Iwi!

Welcome back to all our followers, both new and old! If you missed the Open Night with SSQV hui, don't worry, we have you covered. We have an awesome design video showcasing the indoor gymnasium and the #1 rugby field. The rugby field will be artificial, allowing our Tama to play on it all year round with minimal maintenance. Inside the gymnasium, there will be two hardcourts with grandstands, as well as an upper level with seating for watching games indoors. This new addition will be fantastic for our Tauira in 2025.

Stay tuned for more news and updates, exciting things are happening!
