This week was all about celebrating what makes Kelly Club Ōwairaka ROCK! 🌟

We had heaps of fun playing games, baked some delicious rock cakes 🧁 and, sticking with the theme, finished off the week with some awesome rock painting! 🎨🪨

We also made a start on our Stars Award Project ⭐ — a national Kelly Club competition where we get to showcase our incredible Ōwairaka whānau and everything that makes our club so special! 💙💚

🎨✨ WEARABLE ARTS 2026! ✨🎨

After today’s Throwback Thursday post, it was officially time for round two of our Wearable Arts Competition… and somehow the creativity got even crazier! 🤯🔥

We split into teams, and were given a coach to transform and let loose on a HUGE collection of craft materials we’ve accumulated over the past year! ✂️🎀🪶

We absolutely loved seeing everyone get involved and have so much fun with it. Another very successful Wearable Arts afternoon! 🌟🎨

Who remembers our Wearable Arts Competition from November last year?! 🎨👕✂️

Well… it’s making a comeback! 🙌 This afternoon, we’re diving into all the weird and wonderful scrap materials our craft cupboard has accumulated over the past year and turning them into some brand-new wearable masterpieces! 🧵🖍️

♻️🌏 WEEK 4 - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 🌏♻️

Let’s get creative while helping look after our planet! 🌱 Bring along some clean recycling from home as we transform everyday items into awesome creations. It’s a week full of imagination, learning, and eco-friendly fun.

⭐️ Staff Choice was in full swing this week! The coaches have chosen the fun, and we’ve delivered an action-packed week full of favourite activities.

🧶We’ve been creative with Pom Pom crafts, played lots of sports, made yummy fruit kebabs, participating in a colouring competition, and teaming up for an epic game of Jailbreak! 🔒🔑

♻️What’s next? Next weeks theme is: Reduce, Reuse, Recylce! We will be exploring awesome ways to take care of our planet through fun activities, games, and crafts!

Anything could happen this week… because our amazing Kelly Club team are taking the reins! 🤩 From favourite games to creative activities and surprise challenges, Staff Choice Week is packed with all the things our coaches love most.

🔴 Our Red Nose Day Week has been off to an amazing start! Over the past two days we’ve created Red Nose balloon poppers, designed fundraising posters, enjoyed plenty of football ⚽, and put our skills to the test in our hilarious ‘Face the Cookie’ challenge. 🍪

💦 Now the countdown is on for our DUNK THE COACH fundraiser this Friday! One brave Kelly Club coach will be drenched with a bucket of water, and you get to help decide who it will be!
