What is I’raab إعراب? And why is it important to study it?
I’raab إعراب is the study of how word endings change within the Arabic sentences, which impacts the word meanings.
For example,
مُحمدٌ
مُحمدًا
مُحمدٍ
The same word can mean different things in a sentence because of the word endings (vowels).
Without a proper understanding of I’raab إعراب, the meaning of words and sentences can be distorted or lost.
Understanding I’raab إعراب is necessary to progressing to more advanced levels of Arabic study, and is therefore a crucial step in the language learning journey.
